Bought on 10th Feb 201924th April started to trip switch and no longer works steam
TezOnly had this iron seven months and has now stopped generating steam.Would of hoped it would have lasted longer than this.
Kindle CustomerAccording to my wife, this is the worst steam generating iron that she has ever owned, her exact words where 'it has the steam power oooomph of an asthmatic pensioner'
mr a whalleyItem was faulty. Spurted brown water out and gunk with it.Ruined a white shirt and hopefully it will come out after a boil wash.I bought another one of these irons for my partner and hers was brilliant so ordered another.
Martin edwardsi found this iron to be heavy especially as i have arthritis , i struggle to use this for more than 10 minute . The filter has now filled with a brown liquid and i have been unable to find a war to empty it. Looks like i’ll have to order new filters which are expensive as i have only had the iron a few weeks. Not impressed
nellyThis steam generator iron is not quite the same as most others, especially the Tefal one that I have used. Most steam generator irons create the steam in the base unit and then when you press the trigger on the iron the steam is ejected through the soleplate. In this model the base unit is just water resevoir and pump. On pressing the trigger, water is fed through the pipe/cable to the iron, where it is heated to create steam. The need for the heating element in the iron adds to it weight.Once steaming, this iron is good, however you don't get the high pressure shot of steam that other generators product. For its cost, it much better than a basic steam iron due to hold a decent amount of water. I bought it to fulfill a specific need, but would have spent a bit more money on a different iron if I had wanted a long term steam generator iron.
