Was a bit sceptical and nervous about using this iron, but haven't had any problems. Having a large family made doing the washing and ironing a lengthy chore. Being able to iron a pair of jeans followed by a silk shirt then a jumper without having to worry about altering the temperature and waiting for the iron to heat up or cool down and without risk of burning any garment had to be a big bonus in my books. The tefal hotplate has always been my favourite, this means no scorch marks or sticking from the hotplate and will glide across all laundry without any effort. The minus I can find is the cable could have done to have been a bit longer, but in no way impedes its overall performance.

ChrisGot this awhile back, tired of clothes burning and water leaking. It does what it says, I wasn't sure about delicate materials, but it works. The only down fall for me, if you have problems with your hands, it can become an issue. It's quite heavy. Overall decent Iron.

i melliniI have to be honest i dont like this. My previous iron broke and i wanted a replacement and this looked the job. The cord is woefully short but what is far worse is that it seems to randomly spray water all over my clothes as i iron them (and it also goes through the water you load very quickly). It will become a backup iron when i can find a much better replacement.

It is a durilium technology flat plate which I found dragged rather than glided. I iron a lot of shirts which I hate doing so need something that makes my life that bit easier. This did not!It apparently uses smart technology so has no temperature dial. I have absolutely no idea how that works and can't see how it can go from a cotton shirt, straight onto say a silk item?! I wouldn't dare risk trying it.There is a button for more steam on the underside of the handle which got in my way too.I ordered a Philips iron with a ceramic plate instead for half the price and it's superb.
