Haven't used it yet to do a big pile of ironing but so far, so good, if I could review it in a few months would be a better review but for the price not a bad iron.
L. Kexcellent
robje_4252inexpensive but also very poor quality, it now leeks water whenever the tank is full, I think its one of the valves on the removable tank, also the flex is not bound adequately and has lots of kinks with the electric wires sticking out, I would recommend spending more and getting something that lasts longer than a year. This is pretty much useless and is now used only for ironing paper patterns for clothing and craft stuff.
ejan hahnWhen the Swan Iron arrived, much faster than I expected, I thought that it may have been a used or reconditioned one: the packaging was loose and parts of the machine were dusty. But looking at the plate, and the other parts, I soon came to the conclusion that it was in fact new. I then followed the “before use” instructions, after removing the water tank (not in the instructions). As the temperature rose, I noticed smoke rising from a couple of holes on the body of the iron. And suddenly there was quite a loud crack. Nothing on the iron appeared to be damaged, so I assumed that the “crack” was just the plate expanding as it heated up. I continued following the instructions for several minutes, and when everything appeared satisfactory, I turned the iron off. The plate stayed hot/warm for about fifteen minutes after this.
When I started using it in earnest, I tried to relate the instructions to the machine, but I couldn’t find the “dry position”, and still haven’t been able to. In order to produce steam, I turned the dial up to a position close to the three circles. Steam didn’t come straightaway, but after a few goes the steam buttons started to work. The button identified as “spray button” produced quite a violent effect and lifted the iron off the cloth; in addition the steam escaped to the side, prompting me to think that the instructions should have contained a warning about this. Once I was prepared for this effect, I could control the use of the spray button and ironing proceeded as I would normally have expected.

earthbabeI received this iron this morning and it had hard scale deposits on the base plate holes and across the iron where stains from previous ironing. I am unable to comment on it's performance because I haven't attempted to use it
Mrs. J. HibbittVery good iron. Would recommend. Beats taking the whole iron to the water
