You get what you pay for
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

This is a very inexpensive iron, so my criticisms here are more to let you know what's being sacrificed over a more expensive iron.Yes, it's a lightweight iron... but that's not necessarily a good thing. Even with the steam on, you have to apply more pressure of your own to get the toughest creases out of shirts. The provided water just is ridiculously small... you'll need to refill it several times to fill the iron. The filling hole is not very well designed - it's small, and there's no pressure hole, so it's a bit too easy for water to spill out over the iron while trying to fill it. The steam doesn't come out with any kind of pressure... it just drifts out, so not that effective. I nearly always have to spray water out as well, in order to deal with tough creases. It's a flat back iron... I'm not sure whether it costs more money to make these things double-ended (maybe there's some patent on that), but I miss being able to easily iron shirt sleeves in both directions at once. The cord is rather short... shorter than on previous more expensive irons I've used. The temperature control is a bit stuff and feels like it will break over time.So... it's a budget iron, and you need to take all of the above into account before purchasing.

Had to send it back
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

Iron was fine first three times I used it. I wanted a lightweight iron, and this was actually, for me, too lightweight - didn't feel it was substantial enough to get the creases out properly. However, it was okay. Then on the fourth time of use, the light flickered on momentarily then went off, and the iron wouldn't heat up. Tried plugging it in elsewhere and same thing happened. Changed the fuse and it made no difference. So unfortunately I had to send it back. As it was less than 30 days since I had purchased it, this was particularly easy to do. I dare say I was unlucky with that particular iron. Had it continued to work I would probably give it three stars.

Short cable, difficult to control steam
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

While this iron is lightweight and removes creases, the cable is far too short for comfortable use. You will need to set your ironing board right next to a plug socket, which will mean you'll be close to a wall. This is clearly advertised as Auto Steam, but I did not realise there is no steam off button, so the only way to iron without steam is to empty the water tank. There is a lot of steam produced, and spits quite a bit, maybe just need to get used to the controls. Overall not wowed by the iron, but you get what you pay for, which wasn't much. Fast & free delivery was a bonus, thanks to Prime.

Not worth the money

Only bought this in January and having to replace it. Ceramic plate rusted and started dragging on material leaving black and rust marks on shirts. Absolute waste of money.

Leaking Rusty water after just 4 months
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

Overall pleased with the iron, its weight is light and it does a good job. I use distilled water and empty the tank on each use but after just four months it is leaking rusty water over my clothes. I will now have to buy a new iron (definitely not this one!)

Absolute rubbish. Stopped working within a couple of weeks of use. No help from Amazon just referred to an expensive support line that doesn't operate at weekends.

Terrible product that’s very very leaky. Fills me with anger every time I try to use this product and how much water goes everywhere, including hot water over my feet.

Not as good as I thought
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

I bought this mainly because it’s Russell Hobbs instead of other lesser known brands of a similar price! Quite disappointed, I’ve had it a couple of weeks now and the plate is already covered in fabric despite me using it on correct settings! I had my old iron for nearly 8 years and never had this! Most things I have to iron with a tea towel over incase it sticks!!

Thought this iron was quite good initially but that was before it started to leak from the seals and wet the whole machine. Now thrown it in the bin.

Poor build quality
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

Bought this in June and a few days ago the water and steam buttons broke, now the steam cannot be used. We don't even use it much. It was alright until this happened though. Just ordered an expensive Philips iron, wish I had in the first place, wouls have saved myself some money.
