Do not buy this. It is frustration no end.
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

I have this iron for 3 years and it was nothing but frustration to use it after a year or so. Moreover this product is outright dangerous.- Scale build up is incredible on this model and I spend more time cleaning it than using for ironing. Still it often leaves scale over the clothes. Most importantly it causes internal tank or seal to break and water leaks all over inside the iron and outside. Literally water pours over the handle and from the base.- General build is poor. Handle is made out of two parts which do not align together well and the "seam" is sharp and rubs on your hand when ironing.- It leaks water from soleplate. Big puddles. Drips instead of steaming. Big time.Horrible overall, if I haven't spent so much on it, it would have gone into the bin already.Only good thing on it is a temperature sensor. At least you don't spend time adjusting the dial.

Extremely disappointing and annoying experience!
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

I collected my order from an Amazon Hub Locker, which arrived the day AFTER it was supposed to be there. The Iron box seal was lifted, and the box had clearly been opened. The iron itself had all sole plate seals removed along with the normal plug protector. The cable was unravelled and stuffed in the box. Add to that the iron looked like it had previously been filled with water. Overall this appeared to have been returned, having been used, so I returned it, as I can buy this iron NEW and UNUSED! I have asked for my money back which seems to have been ignored, and another one sent again to the locker, which I was texted/told about 30 mins before the shop closed. This is for return. I want my money back!

Not keen

OK for things that don't need much ironing, but for white cotton shirts it's useless. The "steam" leaves orange spots everywhere. Without steam the iron simply doesn't get hot enough. Emptying the water tank is impossible, there's always a dribble left in which I assume is the cause of the orange spots. It's not a patch on my previous iron but that was 25 years old and couldn't last for ever. This one won't make 25 weeks.

Beware ‘sensor’ technology and nasty marks
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

Initially I was impressed. But ironing trousers a few days in, it was WAY too hot, marking the material. Fortunately I ironed them inside out, so the mark wasn’t visible. I had to use a damp cloth between iron and garment for rest of ironing.Quite simply, no iron can lose heat so quickly that it can move from a rough material to a sensitive one. It’s against the laws of physics. So use with caution...Also, it’s critical that you drain every last drop of water out of the iron when you finish ironing, otherwise you’ll get nasty smears on fabric when you next iron (this is probably true of any steam iron).Update JULY 2019. Tiny piece of plastic that secures the water cover has broken – very poor design. Despite only using deionised water from supermarket, and draining it after use (per the instructions), it spits out grotty brown bits on a regular basis, thus requiring shirts, etc. to be rewashed. Will contact Bosch for a refund.

Needs regular cleaning
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

Sensor works well, no complaints about that aspect, but the de-calcification system is frustrating. This iron seems to need a full clean every time I use it, otherwise clothes are covered in tiny particles of limescale that look like dandruff. Water is moderately hard in my area, but not excessively so, and I've not this issue with any other iron I've owned. It does turn the beginning of every ironing session into a bit of a faff.

Over engineering
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

I really do not know what is happening at Bosch...I really used to love their products so reliable and well built. After two wonderful washing machines we have put up with one which decides when it wants to dump the softener in (Very often before the powder) for four years which their engineer insists is OK and then informs me will have to charge us £90 if I call them again. Now this.....Seems like a brilliant idea such a shame that water shot from the filler as I was using it.

Burned a whole in my lace top
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

I purchased this iron following very good reviews. Since I first used the iron I was disappointed that water kept spitting out as the iron went tp and fro along the clothing. Today I was ironing and sadly it burned a whole in a lovely cotton lace top - a top I have always ironed. So, I'm afraid this is one of the worse irons I have possessed. I'm sure it's faulty but cannot see how to contact anyone to have it replaced.
