You would think that after all these years, a company like Morphy Richards would have perfected the iron - but I suppose each new generation of product designers comes up with their own ideas hence the lack of progress. Maybe they don't do their own ironing.
There are some good points: it is quite cheap, it produces plenty of steam and there is a handy thing to wrap the cord around.
The bad points are that the flex is a bit short and the sole plate is not a smooth as some irons so it tends to drag on the clothes a bit. The version I bought is black and you can't see how much water is in it. When you put the iron on its end, you get a massive blast of steam so you have to do it gently.
Update:. After a few weeks use the sole plate has got a bit smoother and I forgot to mention the water spray which is good.

PhilIt electrocuted me when switching off, in the bin.Morphy richards dealt with my complaint
CambonI like this iron glides easily and has good steam output and was well prices and delivered quickly
hun-36Good value for money. Does the job. The only thing that's remotely negative is it has a tendency to wet the garment. Sometimes it drips water when your using the steamer, but I suppose you get that with most irons. Apart from that I can't complain.
y_m_oI find this iron heavy to use. My main complaint is, because of the black glass on the sides it is impossible to see how much water there is in the iron. If Morphy Richards paid someone to design this iron, they should get their money back!
Gillian CowenFailed after 13 months - just out of warranty period
TGWstarted to leak through the plate within 4 months of purchase ,its a waste of money.
Amazon CustomerOpening for water broke very quickly
Amazon CustomerThis is cheap iron that does the job. It's cheap because it's very basic and it does the job because it gets rid of crinkles BUT set your expectations straight.1. Foot is bad, very bad.2. The dial is bad I keep accidently changing it with either my thumb or knuckles3. Steam is... coming out4. Occasionall drips too5. Cable is of just decent length and good connection to the body6. When full of water its heavy but less that half-full its ok
Lukasz NowakStopped working after only a few months - rubbish quality.
Ian DavisNot what I expected from Morphy Richards may be a faulty product but not impressed. Was expecting the iron to glide over the clothes but feels more rough on the bottom and doesn’t run smoothly. Secondly the steam function is awful even on the lowest settling each time the iron is lifted it sends out a huge jet of steam making the room I was ironing in like a steam room even the walls were wet ! Have returned the item for a refund
