Not unexpected from previous reviews, but arrived with Schuko European plug. Looks as if originally destined for Polish market. Simple job to chop plug off and fit a 13A UK plug. Sadly fitting plugs to appliances has become a lost art - and yes, it is earthed. Google will tell you how to fit a plug in the UK if you don't know.Bought this for compatibility with existing iron as now need iron in 2 locations (1st world problem). Does the job and a lot cheaper than John Lewis advertised.

Returned this item. It arrived with European 2-pin plug. Could not see anywhere on box that warned me that it was not a British 3-pin plug!
