received this iron & it looked like it had been already used, plugged it in & wallop it dont work so i have been sent one that was returned awful service from amazon. now returning the iron

Martin Haveronbought this because of the product details showing on the description asnd images: 6 bar presure, 120g steam pressure and 2.2l capacity.what I got was : 5 bar pressure, 100g steam pressure, 1.7l water capacity.I can't say how it works because didn't try it , just returned straight away , as it did not matched as advertised.Amazon Customer service, when I made aware, just told me "that's why we have returns available".Lets hope they tell Morphy Richards the details are wrong.

Brilliant pressure - some cheaper ones look the same but check the power on the others before buying as it makes a difference.2. You can use this like a dry cleaner, for jumpers, suits and shirts you can steam it on hanger and just watch the creases fall out which increases the life of the clothing.3. You actually enjoy ironing!

When it came, I tried it out and chose ironing to do. When my wife came home, I told her that I'd done the ironing. 'What ironing,' she replied. 'The ironing left in the bathroom,' I said.
'But I did that ironing yesterday,' came her response. (Using our old steam generator.)
'Ah well,' I told her, 'I thought it was crinkled.' She was not amused. (Jokingly I added) 'But this time it's been ironed properly!' 'Well, it looks like you have the job from now on.' I told her that if she wanted it done correctly, perhaps I Should do it, or, I could supervise her on the right way whilst she was ironing our clothes. Fortunately, she saw the funny side.
Anyway, the upshot is that BOTH of us find this steam iron very good.
Footnote:- I might add that she does the 'lion's' load of our ironing.

JohnGThis is my second Morphy Richards steam generator iron, as I dropped and broke old one. It is easy to use and does a brilliant job. My only complaint is a very short plug cable on the new version.
JacMy first steam iron and it was a great choice. I only use it for my bigger loads once a week which have become a lot easier. Descaling is very easy.
