This item is a poor microwave, taking more time to cook things than it should for the supposed power. The convection oven option would not cook a simple cornbread recipe. The bread had to be moved to an actual oven.Now 18 months later, it has began to smoke.

Weve had this for 2 months. The turntable stopped working and we wondered why - the centre part has totally melted inside the oven.

Tried the microwave when new and it didn't work, the main purpose was for a convection oven which works very well and reaches pre heat very quickly. However the microwave and combinations are not usable. I contacted the manufacturer but they said they can't repair etc even though it has a 2 year guarantee so just have to think of alternative means when it's necessary for microwave cooking.

Not very happy with this product. The heating time is not as good as my last microwave.

It's let down by DESIGN FAULTS. Tested over a few days!Same model is sold in UK under 'Kenwood' brand-name with other people complaining about excess moisture left in interior!Cooking a bowl of veggies or pasta/rice leaves excess moisture in cabinet with literally puddles of water formed beneath turntable.Rang igenix customer services in IPSWICH "Oh its normal says the engineer" (via custmer services woman)Not in MY EXPERIENCE (owned combi M/waves since 1985 & NONE did this - the excess steam/moisture was all sucked out by the fan!)Also, excess moisture is left on the inside of the door and window seal (on the window which you can't see through due to the 'bling' mirror finish on exterior - another design fault!)I did not like being 'tricked' by the camera, down-pointing angle in product photos either.Usable area is equal/less than my old 27litre M/wave despite being labelled as 30 litre.A convection/grill element hangs exposed 2-3inches from the interior cabinet roof taking usable space away from the interior (counted as interior cabinet room?)The usable workspace is shaped as a high rectangle almost a 'cube'.The actual turntable was smaller than my previous 27 litre M/wave (it truthfully does fit a large dinner plate - just (DENBY ))Returned as a FAIL!P.s.Like a car with dirty, oily spark plug leads - moisture/water condenses on them & eventually causes electric arcing, whereby your car then refuses to start.Ditto with this M/wave, as grease & oil coat the parts with use, the excess steam/moisture not extracted & left in the cabinet will be attracted to oil deposits, causing premature failure due to electric arcing (esp in a high voltage M/wave!)

I had not come across this brand before but it does seem to be very good quality with a solid build. Due to the size we could not get it to fit into the place where the current microwave sits. That said, and as far as you can say, this is a handsome beast. I feel that the buttons may be a dust and grime trap though. I think that it should have decent space above the top as it does get hot in operation. Not alarmingly at all, just warmer than I expected. The controls are, let's say, comprehensive. I doubt whether we would use all the features but we tried it for a quick 'ping' meal, soup and scrambled egg. No problems and a nice machine but this is in a very competitive market and because of the use we normally put it to, the size is an issue.

This is a large, high power, microwave with oven and grill capabilities. It can run quite hot and therefore requires about a foot of headroom or you might risk damaging eg cabinets. It's also very deep. Seriously, you should check the dimensions. On the plus side there's loads of room inside.Annoyingly the door opener is quite stiff so you'll either need to brace it with your hand or position the microwave so that it backs up against something solid - which I don't think is actually recommended, since the instructions say there should be a clear space around it.My old microwave, which was a no-name about 15 years old and still going strong, had a timer dial, a power dial and... well that was it. The IG3092 is a little more complicated. There are seven buttons and a dial. I have never required to keep an instruction manual handy five days after receiving any gadget, ever.Get this out of the way, if you want to microwave something the simplest thing to do is press the quick start button. Every press adds 30 seconds max power microwaving. This is how I've been using it 90% of the time because I haven't found the other controls particularly intuitive.To be fair, this is a learning experience and there is a lot of flexibility available. Provided you use microwave safe containers you could, eg set up a program to defrost for 5 minutes, oven bake at a particular temperature for 20 minutes and finish it off with the grill. Because there's only so much insulation available, compared to a full size oven, the outside does get quite warm to the touch, though I didn't find it unbearable. A bigger problem is that if you open the door to flip something, you seem to lose a lot of the convection oven heat. As I understand it the "convection oven" is basically the heat from the grill being blown around inside. It works, it's not the fastest, but it works.There are some sparse instructions (a comprehensive cookery guide would have been ace) and some pre-programmed modes but I suspect trial and error is going to be the most likely w
