. The washer drier doesn't actually wash then dry, it just gets it warm. So it's no good if you want to put it on and go to work and come home to clean, dry clothes, you have to wash it, then put it on the dry, it doesn't dry that great either and takes a couple of hours.

It's cheap. There is only one wash and dry cycle and it literally blasts heat through the clothes then stops! You have to manually switch it to dry after. Disappointing

Smells when drying
Reviewed on Argos.co.uk

Had it 2 weeks and it still smells when using the dryer. The clothes come out smelling bad . And not too impressed that it doesn't tell you on the actual machine what times the cycles last am I supposed to memorize the instructions manual.... Times written next to each one that is numbered on the draw would of been enough.

Broke after 15 months

Sadly the machine stopped heating the water after 15 months and the bill to repair it is quite significant. I can not recommend that you purchase this machine.

Cheap garbage
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

I've had the misfortune of being saddled with indesit washers in the last two apartments I've rented. Pure garbage. Even when it's working (in between the constant servicings) the clothes never seem clean.

Avoid - dosnt tell you time left in washing or drying cycle
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

Got this to replace my old washing machine. Unfortunately this washing machine has a number of basic flaws. It has a dial you use to select a wash type. When you select a wash the dial does not rotate unlike my previous washing machine to give you an idea of how long there is left to go for your washing to finnish. You are only given 4 leds lights to show the different wash stage but have NO idea how far it is in any. When drying you choose the dial to dry and a dial for the time. The minimum time is 40mins. This is to long if your clothes are not soaking wet. YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW FAR IT IS THROUGH THE DRYING CYCLE as there is only 1 light that says its Drying. On my old machine I had a rotating dial like the wash dial that rotated while going through the operation so you knew time left. THIS IS VERY ANNOYING.In the manual there is no way to stop a drying cycle if you pressed it by accident or want to take out early. I found out that you can stop it pressing pause button and turning off button. As far as washing it does not vibrate much and does its job washing clothes. But being locked into drying for min 40 minutes and over hour in washing cycle and not knowing when its going to end is a nightmare. Advise you choose a machine that tells you these things and dont buy this.

Very poorly designed - avoid this (and similar-to-operate models)
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

my elderly mother bought this machine without access to the poor reviews on the internet. I cannot believe the stupidity of the manual-authors or the designers. Avoid this machine! The programme options are very poorly explained - a child could prepare a manual with less ambiguity and missing detail. After so many years to work out what consumers/housewives need, it is almost beyond belief that this is the outcome. There are much better machines available which are easier to use and with less frustration. Yes - put the drying knob on zero if you do not want programmes automatically drying after washing (no mention at all in the manual). Yes - use the temperature limiter knob (which only applies to wash-water-temp), so don't set it vertical unless all washing is to be carried out with cold water. Enjoy some guesswork using knobs without pointer on (the control knobs are virtually symmetrical). How can a machine like this get to market! Can this be given zero stars??

Don't buy unless you get the extended warranty.

First - I didn't buy this from amazon, but another retailer - just wanted to give a review:I'm very glad I got the extended warranty. However once the extended warranty expired, I didn't get that. Now I wish I had.So far, I've got them to replace the:- motor- circuit board- pump- motor (yes, twice)and some other stuff I can't remember.Yesterday it blew a fuse, and smelled really bad. So I'm presuming another motor - which will cost close to £200 to get repaired. If you're foolish enough to buy it, get the extra extended warranty.

Do not buy this machine!
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

I hate this machine. It is a pain in the neck to programme and I have accidently tumbled stuff dry on a number of occasions. You cannot stop the cycle once started and have to stand back and watch it ruin your clothes. It also tumbles dry so hot that you cannot touch the machine.

Very disappointing
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

I inherited a brand new one of these washer dryers when we moved into our new build house and am very disappointed with its performance with my laundry. The main problem is that it simply does not get the laundry very clean. My whites are nothing like as white as they were with my previous Hotpoint washer/dryer and stains remain on clothes. If I use any of the lower temperature washes, several times I have taken the washing out and there are dry patches that have not been submerged in the water at all! The programme dial is difficult to set because it is simply a notch in a white dial and you need good light to see to set it. The plus I can give this machine is that the dryer gives you several options as to how dry you want your laundry, and that works very efficiently, otherwise I would have given it no stars at all. Has anyone else experienced the same problems?

CLEANS VERY WELL - but CREASES CLOTHES BADLY
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

Previously used a separate dryer as I hate ironing - clothes went straight on hangers and all was well with my world.Needed the space so got this washer/dryer. Unfortunately I was very disappointed as it creases the clothes terribly.I have not used all the wash settings but needed to first find out how it dried. The person who designed this dryer doesn't seem to understand how clothes dry well with minimal creasing. On the dry cycle it spins the clothes fast so they are squashed flat against the drum, then they drop to the bottom and lie there for a few minutes, then a slower spin cycle and then repeats. As the clothes do not spend much time suspended in the air they come out very creased - anyone who knows the optimal process for minimal ironing, knows that you need moisture plus the clothing tumbled and suspended in the air as much as possible. I have tried the iron and hanger dry settings, which leave the clothing moist, steaming - but creased. Clothes shouldn't be that creased when moist, so its totally down to the process above. The hanger dry setting leaves clothing mostly dry but still very creased - the worst possible scenario for someone who hates ironing. Extra fabric conditioner doesn't help at all.On the plus side is does clean exceptionally well and it is very easy to use (the manual is only a few pages); it has a function for shoes/trainers and you can program it to delay start time so you can have your clothes ready when you get home from work. Unfortunately clothes are very creased so you have a load of ironing to look forward to also!Bottom line is: if you don't mind ironing or have the time to do it, this is a good washing machine - if you hate ironing, don't buy it.
