I like this style of iron. My husband thinks it's heavy but he only irons his shirts. Doesn't get rid of all wrinkles

Good product, works a treat, but the steam button often gets pushed when I don't want steam. I would buy it again, as I'm sure I will get used to it.

Like the ease of use, the iron itself is light and instructions are clear although in pictorial format, may be helpful to include written instructions.

this was bought following the demise of our old model after 15 yrs. this one has several improvements. including technology which removes the need for changing settings during ironing, calcium spoon for removing debris from the boiler. removable filler tank. It was readily excepted by my wife as being a great improvement on old version..hopefully it will last as long as the old one.

Expensive but an excellent iron. Sail through ironing with this. Great that you can take tank out to refill, much safer.

I had such high hopes for this Tefal Steam Iron as my previous Tefal lasted 11 years.It is very clear that the item is faulty.Negatives apart from faulty item.Plastic used is much cheaper and thinner than my appliance from 11 years ago. Why is this a negative. The plastic does get very warm and obviously over time will leak regardless if item is faulty now or not.The 'mouth'where you put the water in is much smaller than my previous one.It took a while to 'register' that the tank is in fact full and I had to turn on and off 3 x for the 'fill water light' to turn off.Initially ad it builds up the steam it is very noisy. Previous Tefal did not make these noises.Last point. No grip under feet. Thought this should be STANDARD. Wth all health and safety check, astonishing that this has in fact past all the tests.I sometimes wonder why house executives arent asked to test vacuum cleaners, irons, dish washers etc etc. We use these items non stop 365 days a year, surely we would be able to write a decent report about what actual works.1 star positive. Does a good job steaming and cuts ironing time in half.Will NOT recommend and will look at different Tefal but am cautious now as it is obvious that the supplier of some parts of their irons have been changed or replaced by a cheaper make. So annoying. Tried to find the same steamer I had but seems it has been discontinued. Typical!

Bought for my wife as her old steam iron was leaking. Very stylish, easy to use and makes her ironing so much easier. She's very pleased..

Might be early to write a review after only 1 use. I will revise later if it feels different in time.First of all I need to say that I have owned for 7.5 years one steam generator produced by Siemens that still goes strong, but I wanted an upgrade because it needed cleaning too often lately. I was looking to buy the same Siemens one or any other steam generator of same make, however they look unavailable in the UK or probably discontinued. So I started looking at different brands and reached to this Tefal iron which I received a day ago.Good points: - looks nice and does the job - long enough plug and steam wires - the steam is coming clean and constant - it is ready hot quickly - not too bulky - the water tank comes out for filling - can be kept upright on the ironing board (I need to get used to this) - does the job!Now the "disappointing my expectations" or "comparing with my old one" points: - it is very heavy, twice as heavy as the old Siemens; - when I press the button for the steam to be released the click sound is loud and "plastic-ky" not rubbery soft; - it does not have a separate pad to be kept on the ironing board while hot and in use (however it can be left upright if the station is further). I prefer the station not on the ironing board to avoid accidents with the kids (see the picture with the IKEA Kallax shelf), therefore I always keep id down. Since the cord is long enough it is ok I guess, but still I would preferred a separate pad for the ironing board.Overall looks like a good product. Less one star mainly because of its weight in hand while in use.If it lasts for as long as my old one which was in the same price range, I will be very happy!

my partner brought this Tefal Pro Express Ultimate GV9580 high pressure steam generator iron. and has made her work a lot more easy and quick. It has actually cut her ironing time to less the half which is great for her, I am not a person to iron but I can say it was easy. The steam button is easily accessible and easy to use, the iron is light weight not like some irons. A brilliant product to use and looks great to. well recommended

From my experience I know that steam irons can be temperamental things. Therefore when choosing a replacement I wanted to make sure I bought a reliable brand from a reliable source. Friends, reviews etc indicated that Tefal/Amazon was exactly this. Unfortunately this hasn't proved to be the case. On arrival my iron appeared to be exactly what I wanted, however on first use I discovered there was an intermittent fault with the on/off button. Sometimes the button directly above - 'Normal' steam setting button - had to be used instead. Obviously I should have got in touch with Amazon immediately. But as I had a huge backlog of ironing, and the iron did work, I decided to put off until I really had to. Weeks in the iron then developed a further fault where it would suddenly turn itself off with no warning. Rather frustrating and caused me to look into the Amazon returns procedure - the only option shown was return for repair. Now was not a convenient time to be without my iron, so I stalled again. Last monday the iron developed another fault - spilling water out of the hot plate, with a nasty burning smell. Not good, so i called Amazon to hopefully put my case forward and plead with them to send me a replacement rather than make me wait while a repair was attempted. Unfortunately i found it difficult to understand the customer service operator who took my call, and couldn't be sure he got my point about not wanting to be without an iron. Much holding, and 3 phone calls later I was told he would make contact with the supplier, while I stayed on the line, it then transpired the supplier had finished for the day so he would request they made contact with me within 48 hours. Well, they didnt...a busy weekend with guests staying resulting in a huge pile of bedding to iron - I resorted to using my iron again and found that after a few sheets the water dries up, ....and I am again trying to reach out to Amazon to resolve the problem.To conclude, bitterly disappointed with this iron, I would now like a refund and would rath

Great product bought to replace much earlier model which lasted us six years of heavy use before expiring. Hoping this lasts as long!*2nd UPDATE* Replacement unit has now started doing the same thing - blowing water and muck out despite rigorously following use and maintenance instructions and only using filtered water. Terrible product and appalled Tefal have fallen so short of expectations.*UPDATE* After six weeks this unit failed - water coming from iron instead of steam. After a short online discussion with Amazon they agreed, having been reminded of their responsibilities under The Sale of Goods Act, that a replacement was in order. This has arrived today and better last more than a month or a refund will be in order. Disappointed with such an expensive item from a big brand - clearly the quality has fallen since we last bought one!

The wife likes this for the ease of ironing. She likes the steam iron.

This iron replaced a much older (16 years!) Tefal steam generator iron which had started to leak water. This replacement is so much easier to use - lighter in weight, quicker to heat up and very quick to iron with. Extremely happy with this iron and do not hesitate to recommend it.

This is my third Tefal steam generator iron and it is very similar to the earlier models, does the job, temperature controls have changed to only 3, delicate (low) normal and High (jeans) seems to working fine so far. HOWEVER as I am a bit of a neat freak and like everything in its place, there is no wind in for the power lead, you have to try and stuff the plug and the lead into a hole in the side that is not adequate or big enough so the power lead is a mess and hangs out when the iron is not in use. As this is obviously and upgrade from my old iron (which had a spring loaded wind in for the lead) I cannot understand why they have gone backwards on this. To be honest I wouldn’t have bought it had I realised, after all there are plenty of alternatives on the market. If this doesnt bother you however, the iron is fine.
