Horrible, dangerous machine! Popcorn flies everywhere all over the kitchen as does red hot unpopped corn, that burnt my hand. Badly designed, poor fitting lid. Unfortunately this was a gift and I'm unable to return as no paperwork in the box, and I don't want to offend my friend by asking her to return it . Had to give it one star as I was unable to leave a review otherwise, but it's not even worth that

Bought this for my granddaughter, awful machine and it broke very soon after purchase. Even though under guarantee never got a reply from the company regarding the matter, so a wasted purchase. Put me off buying anything electrical from amazon.

Simple to use ...that's pretty much the good news over! The popping corn flies everywhere and some gets stuck and burns. Badly designed, it needs some sort of directional shute for the popcorn to exit through. Also un-popped kernals come flying out too as they get caught amongst the popped ones. I love popcorn but this is a sad dissapoointment.

The worst popcorn maker ever!
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

Very poor quality - measuring cup doesn't fit properly. Very messy - popcorn flies everywhere. Dangerous - top see-thru lid has no lock system (just loose) and flying popcorn can burn your skin.

Anyone for a game of Russian roulette?

I do wonder whether the designers at Swan tried out this device as a prototype, or if they simply explained the concept of a popcorn maker to a gang of chimps and hawked the resulting shambles to the public. There does not appear to have been be any thought put into it at all. The ides is sound, sure; kernels go in and popcorn comes out. But as soon as the popping starts, the explosive nature of this foodstuff sends both flying out, skittering around the curved upper chamber which seems purposefully designed to guide missiles out at you in random directions. We used this once. And they went EVERYWHERE.On the positive side, operation of the on/off button is childsplay, the lucky kernels that made the change were delicious and well-popped, and it isn't pink.

Useless
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

I agree with everyone else who has a wrote a review on this popcorn maker - utterly useless. I love making popcorn and so my mum bought me one for christmas and I was so happy until I actually put it to use. The lid does not clip on so you must press it down to stop it from flying off when the kernels starts to pop. Plus you have to keep moving the bowl in order to actually catch it otherwise it ends up absolutely everywhere - on the floor and on the sides (anywhere but the bowl). Due to this I'm actually too scared to use it on my own.Not at all acceptable for children or anyone for that matter.Do not buy.

This popcorn maker is unfortunately very poorly designed. Popcorn goes everywhere, no butter dish as advertised and it overheats easily. After owning it for less than a month, it blew a fuse and we were unable to resurrect it.Don't waste your money - look elsewhere.
