Doesn’t work, popped about 5 kernels out of the whole lot.
Kindle CustomerDidn’t work. Although contacted seller and got a prompt reply to send item back.
laurakmclIt was a Christmas gift for my family, but didn't not work very well and was not fit for purpose.
Amazon CustomerPerfect product
Stephen.haydenVery happy
Amazon Customerpoor quality takes forever to heat up and after 15 minutes still hasnt popped all the corn would not recomend
luckyfarmerkendoesnt get hot enough to pop all the corn and starts to burn
jacqui oszI bought this for my 12 year old son. After some burned fingers from our popcorn 'penguin' I thought I'd try a more traditional type popcorn maker. My gran's sister had one of these in the US when I was a kid. She'd let us make pancakes on it!! We were not disappointed with this one. It takes a bit of shaking and jiggling to get perfect corn but it all adds to the fun. My son made gorgeous corn, his sister even approved and because it's essentially a hot plate with a bowl I will be teaching him how to make proper American pancakes on it! He's now known as the popcorn King!!
ajcampbell2006I don’t like anything about this product!Absolute waste of money! It doesn’t heat up enough to pop the corn!
michelle castleGood product
Mrs P M PayneI bought this thinking I would be able to make some popcorn.I followed the instructions, and I was able out of 3 attempts, to pop a couple of dozen kernels, and burn the rest.It claims six minutes is all that is needed to make the popcorn. I only timed the third attempt, and gave up at 14 minutes. All it does is burn. In one of the pictures I have placed some fresh kernels so you can compare the color of those inside the "popper".Needless to say, it is all boxed up again and being returned. It is a great appliance if you want the house to smell of burnt corn kernels, or if you have a cupboard full of prized rubbish gadgets, this would make a great addition to said cupboard, never to see the lite of day again.I would seriously recommend against this. I am back to my original, guaranteed popping method of using a saucepan and lid with a spoon of oil. Works every single time with barely any unpopped.PS. Amazon, why is the lowest rating a 1? A 1 implies that it has some merit. I hereby formally request an option for ZERO, as a zero would cover this perfectly :)
TazfanWell if you want popcorn and un popped kennels all over the place this is for you it flies every where I put a bowl under it and most of the content went on the floor put your kernels in a pan with the lid on much better
glenn millerbought as a safe alternative for kids instead of stove top makes... waste of money doesn't heat up hot enough there instructions used like watching paint dry in the rain doesn't effectively pop the seeds I would not recomend this item
the_mouse_scateersI bought this item in August, and by July it no longer worked. The heating element would still function, but whatever mechanism would power the blower to spin the kernals around (and then up) was broken. It broke without any warning.
I've owned a few air poppers over the years (as I've moved from region to region with different voltages), but this is the first one that has died on me.
Very poorly made.
Burned the corn and only popped about 12 of the 150 or so kernels that I put on it! (It also says fat free but you have add oil!) TERRIBLE PRODUCT - I will be returning first thing on Monday morning.
Mrs K Gregorycannot comment on how it works as it is a present not yet given
sandy.teasdaleAwful, manages to make 1/3 of the kernels you put in it if you're lucky and most of them burn
Emily ClarkIt died the second time I used it. It has a cut off apparently, but it's actually a kill switch.
and OF COURSE it's two days after I can return it. FML.
I guess it was the cheapest one for a reason. Don't waste your money, Amazonians.
I bought this very compact easy to clean popcorn maker, thinking it would make brilliant popcorn, how wrong could l be be. Its certainly sleek and very easy to us,but the popcorn when popped is hard and chewy and if you do not shuffle the corn about during cooking it gets burnt. All on needs is a saucepan a little oil and the results are better than this nice looking useless popcorn maker that does a horrible job.
lpa3386Bought as a gift. after reading some of the reviews I did warn him that popcorn might fly out in all directions but he had to try it for himself.. and yes popcorn everywhere! A tea towel is fine to guide it down into a bowl.
arcanekittenThis fantastic Giles and Posner popcorn maker is perfect for making a quick snack or a large bowl of popcorn to share with friends in front of a movie. Brilliantly easy to use, just measure out one scoop of kernels and one cup of oil using the included tools, cook for 5-6 minutes, then flip over to serve in the integrated bowl. With 800 W power and a simple on/off switch, it is a fast, efficient and fuss-free way to make a snack, while the non-slip feet provide safety as the popcorn cooks.
