A quick search on the internet found that it is a common problem with Olympus bodies and Panasonic optics, so we sadly had to return..
There are fixes available such as filters or post processing, but for this much money do you really want to?

James S.I too bought this lens on top of reviews stating how good it is. However, I found it wasn't as sharp wide open or even up to f/2.2 compared to my 20mm f/1.7. The rattlesnake noise from the AF was too annoying and did it every time in low light. I was also annoyed at the higher levels of vignetting up to f/4 compared to other primes I've owned. Returned to Amazon.

Traditional spherical lenses bend the light at the edges of the image causing distortion or aberration.
