Good dehumidifier but NOT a "smart" appliance
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

The unit itself does exactly what you would expect from a dehumidifier with a couple of extra nice touches like the ioniser, UV and carbon filter, no complains here.

The 3-star review is due to the claim that it is a "smart" appliance.

Although the mobile app is a nice extra (comes with its own set of issues), the manufacturer cannot claim that this is a smart appliance just for that.

Where are the Alexa or any other home assistant skills?
Where are the integrations with IFTTT, SmartThings or other home automation hub integrations?

Going back to the mobile app, as another reviewer mentioned, one needs to disable the 5GHz radio on their WAP in order to pair the device with the app.
Another issue with the app is that you cannot use your custom settings on a schedule. Only the five presets that come with it.

The least they can do is to document and release info of the API. Maybe by doing this, competend people might jump in and create these integrations...

If you don't have client isolation enabled or a segregated environment on your network, think twice before add it: A lot of the traffic going out, is over HTTP (unencrypted) ;)

Good purchase - but a little buggy
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

It does work but the humidity monitor exaggerates the level. I doubt the accuracy of this devices humidity readings, however on the lowest settings it definitely works. The bundled remote is very buggy too. The external case of the unit looks to be very thin and tightly packed - there are some 'dipples' on the surface which could turn into cracks over time.Update: the handle broke whilst the device was lifted from the ground. The hooks where the handle fit to the device are very weak - be careful and do not lift using the handle to any real height or distance.

Two Faulty Units...
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

I ordered this condenser dehumidifier directly from Appliances Direct, who appear to be the main supplier of the product here on Amazon. The first time the unit arrived, I found that it wasn't collecting a single drop of water, meaning the compressor was defective.Appliances Direct were kind enough to send a replacement, however that ended up having a faulty humidity sensor/reading, which would show a value that sporadically jumped up and down (see attached video). Lost all faith in ElectriQ by that point, so just returned to Appliances Direct for a full refund. As for the product itself, it's a mixed bag. Pros:- Sleek modern design. The large 3-colour LED indicator is a nice touch.- 3 stage air purification, i.e. plasma ioniser, carbon filter, and internal UV light.- Relatively quiet operation, even on the "high" fan setting.- Wifi app, so you can control and monitor the unit remotely.- Energy efficient, especially when the adaptive "smart" setting is selected. As for cons:- Wasn't too impressed with its ability to dry laundry, even at the recommended room temperature of 20°C.- Caster wheels don't swivel and are shallow (not effective on carpet), so they're essentially useless. If you're not able to comfortably carry 14.3kg (31.5lbs), this could be a problem.- Impractically short power cord, 1.5m approx.- Wifi app was temperamental to set up, due to my residence using a dual band (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) wifi router. Since this product is only compatible with 2.4 GHz, but may try to connect to the 5 GHz band, you literally have to go into your wifi hub's settings and disable 5 GHz, then proceed as normal. You can re-enable the 5 GHz band once the wifi app is fully set up.- The supplied remote is mostly useless, since it requires line of sight to the front of the unit, and the wifi app has almost all the same functionality, aside from the remote having its own humidistat.- Some flimsy plastic parts, i.e. the door to the water tank, and the air outlet flap.In conclusion, my experience with this dehumidifier was disappoi

Quiet and effective (but not for long)
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

I like this dehumidifier because it does a good job of keeping our 4 bed house below 50% humidity and it does so without making much noise, unlike our previous machines. My wife particularly likes the laundry mode, which can be used to direct dry air on to a rack of wet clothes, drying them quite quickly. The control panel buttons are reasonably self-explanatory and there's a timer option so you can set the machine to turn off at night if you wish. The instruction booklet is clear, though incorrect in a couple of places.Setting up the machine to operate it over wifi can be a bit of a challenge. The machine's electronic design doesn't cope with modern dual-band wifi routers which transmit on 2.4GHz and 5GHz, when the 2 bands have the same name. It will simply refuse to connect unless the 2 router bands are renamed with a different name for each one. Instructions for renaming router bands are usually put on-line by your internet provider. In my case I have a Virgin router and I simply followed the instructions provided by Virgin. It's not that difficult to do.The dehumidifier comes with a peculiarly useless remote control. Mine is feeble to the point that it won't work from more than about 3 feet away from the machine and I have to point it directly at a specific spot on the front of the machine for it to work at all. The On/Off button on the remote doesn't turn the dehumidifier on or off, but just turns the remote itself on or off! Most of the remote buttons do seem to show an effect on the remote display but don't change anything on the machine itself. For all practical purposes the remote control is utterly useless and it's much easier to operate the machine via wifi or directly via its control panel. All in all I think this is a good machine apart from the remote. We've had 3 previous dehumidifiers which have all expired after 7 or 8 years. It will be interesting to see if this one lasts any longer.EDIT 27/07/20: Well, I have an answer to my last paragraph above. Today the machine displayed E5 (“A
