This helped clear stuffy nose
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

I have asthma ( mild) so always concerned with wheezing and keeping the air clear as I also have dust and pollen allergies. Initially I wasn't sure if this was working at all. The filters didn't seem to absorb anything. It seemed to work but wondered if it was my imagination. I stopped running it for a while. I noticed that I was getting a stuffy nose over a few days. I worried it was the dreaded C. I noticed the stuffy nose would happen soon after I got into bed and decided to run the air purifier again to see if it would help. I put it on a few hours before bed. My nose was no longer clogged. So yep it worked. Also had no wheezing.

I run an underground meth lab where the air can get PRITTTY stuffy. This is a great machine. The best part though, is smoking the filter contents afterwords.

Value for money, but not the best.
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

I suffer from hay fever and bought this hoping it’ll help. It’s very small, but perfect for my small box room bedroom. It looks quite nice and isn’t an eye sore like other ones I’ve seen so compliments my all white bedroom quite well. Definitely the cheapest I came across, been using it for a few months now but haven’t seen a big difference. I’m quite ocd so I clean my room very frequently but even with this on I still find a lot of dust in my room, thought this would help but it really hasn’t helped much. It gives out a nice cool breeze though but for me, it is a little loud so I also keep it on sleep mode.

Fantastic value for money
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

I've never owned an air purifier before, and genuinely didn't know you could get them this cheap.I was concerned the price may involve a cheap build quality, but I was pleasantly surprised. It has a good weight to it, without being too heavy. It feels like thick plastic, and has no feeling of being easily breakable. The lowest mode, I personally found easy to sleep with, but I think those who need silence will struggle.I live in a city near a major road junction, and I find this makes my room smell so much fresher. I did notice a little bit of benefit in terms of my hayfever, but it wasn't major enough to not warrant taking tablets for it still.I picked up a 3 pack of replacement filters for about £13 or so at the same time. Which I thought was pretty well priced. Not had to use them yet, despite having this on most days for a few weeks.

Not bad Not good
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

Well first of all i must say that my expectations were bit higher and this is the only product i saw would deliver within a week. So I bought. I've been using it for like 1 month now and this might be a good usage review except the product lifetime. I live in a studio apartment and i thought would do a good job. But sadly this not as powerful for a 25 square meter studio. The fan is not powerful enough to suck the nearby air efficiently. I think that's because the vertical type fan inside it. So what i do is I simply switch on this thing and place it in front of my box fan which can push more air through the filters. And i think it works like a charm :D Then the negative ion generator of this machine works really well. It makes a fresh vibe very quickly. Overall this product is good for areas smaller than 25 sqr meters and i think you can't expect more for such a small price tag. If you can do what I am doing then go for it as this time of year you will need a big fan to survive anyway lol.

Not noticed any air improvement
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

Been using overnight for a couple of weeks but sadly have not noticed any difference to the air quality as yet and the filters don't appear to be collecting much which surprises me as I have a very dusty bedroom (and house) despite frequent deep cleaning and vacuuming. I may be expecting too much in such a short time frame? Noise levels (and cool air) on sleep mode are quiet enough for me to sleep easily with the unit placed about a meter from the foot of my bed and the same height. I actually prefer the white noise effect it has which helps me sleep. I haven't used the timer functions yet as i didn't want the "beep" when it turns off.

A well priced HEPA Filter
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

1. We are used to having fans or devices on which make a noise all day and overnight (listen to ambient sounds also) - so if you're not like that, this fan DOES make noise at sleep mode, but it's like a slow well built fan level of noise rather than a turbine! The noise makes it perfect for us.2. I bought this when we got our new dog - have lived with dogs for years, but wanted to make sure the house had a lower level of dust/dander etc.3. It seems to perform very well in our downstairs space and makes the space smell clean and crisp. I leave it on full mode with the ion option on. Time will tell if it reduces dirt and picks up airborne particles.4. HEPA filter and carbon filter easy to install but remember to open it up and remove the plastic covers! (Basically follow the instructions!)5. It hasn't overheated yet, nor appears warm to touch at all.6. Left it on overnight without any issues.7. The HEPA filter, the manual estimates, should last about 6 months - and there are apparently ways to clean these yourself. The long and short is that this probably does the job of a lot more expensive HEPA filters. I place the intake vent at the direction of the door so that any air coming into the room would be filtered (in theory anyway).I would say that the room feels less musty and dusty just from a couple of days use. Low power consumption also.

Too early to say if does anything, so far so good
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

I've only had it for 2 days, running constantly in a small bedroom in an apartment building. I bought it because I'm asthmatic and have been experiencing breathing difficulties due to the cold weather, hoping it would clean the air in my room and aid my breathing a bit at night. I haven't noticed any drastic changed as yet, it could be "placebo" - I have noticed my nose is less stuffy and my sense of smell appears heightened. Time will tell if it does indeed improve the air quality, I suppose. It isn't particularly quiet, either - ironic considering the company is called "SilentNight". The night mode is still noticeably loud, especially if you have no other white noise in the room (such as a television). Very easy to use - my only slight complaint is that in the images it shows the white filter facing outwards, and in the instruction manual it says the sponge filter should face outwards leaving me somewhat confused. I have the sponge facing outwards as it says in the instructions, can only hope that is right. Some official clarification on this issue would be nice.

Cleared my pet allergy so bought another one for upstairs too
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

Having suddenly found I was allergic to new pets I bought one as a last chance rather than removing the animals. It really worked. Wheezing went in a few days. I have used it in several rooms to clear the air and now have it running for half the day in the small utility room with pets. I have bought another for upstairs too.

QUITE AND COMPACT BUT NOT TOO SMALL
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

I purchased this after lots of debating and reading other reviews. All I can say is so far so good, delivery was super fast!!! I use it in my kitchen come dining room (where my partner sits most of the time, cooking social room etc..dog spends alot of time in there as well) Partner complained the last one I had( a totally different make)sounded like a jet engine! It was loud. He was pleased when it went faulty, hence why I have purchased this one. I was dreading turning it on incase it was really loud, but its fine, just sounds like a small fan in the background. Theres 3 setting high, medium and night mode. The medium setting sounds same as the night one and to be honest the high setting is fine also. It lights up for each setting apart from the medium for some reason but it still clearly works because you can hear the change in fan noise. I have turned the product around so the back faces into kitchen as the front blows a small amount of cold air out which can be abit chilly if your sat next to it. Hope this review helps.overall after 6 hours of use im happy and my kitchen doesnt feel as smoggy.

Nice Product. Replacement Filters?
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

We bought one of these devices, because I am a smoker and my husband suggested we needed something to reduce the smoke accented background. I agreed because I would smoke outdoors, but having MS its just too onerous to go outside every time I need a ciggy. After some research, review readings and a bit of deliberation we settled on this machine. As it stands it does everything promised and it has improved the atmosphere in our lounge. It is sufficiently quiet to not impact on our TV viewing in the evening and it is easy to operate. What more could you want. The instructions recommend changing the filters every 6 months, other manufacturers suggest 3 which seems a bit too often for us, but lets get some and go from there. That's where to problem starts cos there aren't any. Anywhere! A set of filters that are of similar size cost more than the machine. It would be cheaper to buy a new machine every 6 months. It is possible to buy carbon activated foam (which I have to say just looks like black sponge) that one can cut to size, but on examination the carbon filter is a honeycomb of pockets filled with activated carbon granules. So after 6 months my husband is going to take off the outer layer of the carbon filter, empty out the carbon granules and refill it from a container of fresh granules £6.56 for 400g. He has already has a plan to replace the filter outer layer with some fly screen material left over from a previous project making fly screens for our conservatory and a bit of DIY. It is a lot of faff, but it seems to be the only choice we have.My advice is to not look at the machine, but concentrate just as much on the availability and cost of the replacement filters.

Do I need to explain ??? ,there must be a Sales man/women reading this ) Great, Super, Magic, Terrific, Wonderful, Bully Bulls eye, I've won (bought) a useless prize. ( you have to be old enough and English to understand this)Non directional airflow output. It doesn't come out where any rational minded person would expect it to , but comes out at a 45 degree angle, off to the side. It is also NoisyPATHETIC AIR INTAKE. No debris on filters, and doing a visible smoke test it only takes in about 25% of the smoke from the rear intake as near as 6 inches or less. The rest is drawn to the front and blown back into the room.. What Imbecile designed this !!! ??? , Sorry ,sorry, sorry don't want to use inappropriate language . Designed is a beautiful word.So what Imbecile approved and passed off this abortion. You may? make 1/2 decent beds, but you have just used nothing but your NAME and stuck it on this barrel of junk. Normally I sign off saying thankyou, sometimes if only for etiquette and good manners however on this occasion I can't for the life of me think of anything to thank you for other than wasting my time. What a complete disappointment. When will replacement filters be available again???
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

I would love to give this Air purifier a five star rating. It works extremely well, very silent. I was finally able to sleep through the whole night without waking up all the time due to breathing problems and a swollen nose. But unfortunately you can’t get the replacement filters anywhere. I even bought a second one a couple of months ago, hoping that the replacement filters would come back in stock and then I could have two purifiers running in my house, but still nothing. Please bring the replacement filters back and I will happily change this rating into a five star one.

Excellent device but.........
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

Great device. It really does exactly what it says on the tin. Sinus problems vastly improved over the course of my first year....BUT. The handbook advises replacing the filters every year....and it is very hard to find them. In fact, I've searched Amazon and another company advised by Silentnight and the filters don't appear to be available any more.

Disappointing.
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

As a long time dust sufferer (bring mucus up every morning after waking up), I bought this to help purify the air in my room. The problem is, for my application, it simply isn't big enough, nor does it have a large enough airflow, and it it unidirectional, which means I'm clueless as to how to position it.Whilst it has hoovered up some of the dust in my room, I feel that because it's blowing the air around, it's disturbing the dust and blowing it to the other side of the room (over me).It simply doesn't seem to be working either. I've used it for the past week, and whilst a week won't be long enough to solve the issue, it seems to have been a detriment to my breathing and morning routine rather than eased it. It is simply a spinning air amplifier, pulling air through a filter (with a de ioniser), and electronic controls, and for the experience I've had DOES NOT feel like it's worth the money. (£40 at time of review)The timer system is good - however I wanted to leave this on as a continuous purifier, and my unit seems to turn off whenever it likes.Whilst the unit itself is at its most powerful in max mode, its quiet mode is still way too loud. I am easily able to sleep through noises and watching Youtube, so it doesn't affect me as such, but even in the middle of the room it is just way too loud for light sleepers. Maybe there should be an even lower RPM for night mode?Disappointed overall, I'll be leaving it on but this hasn't been the quality or performance I'd expect for the brand and the price.

Amazing for COPD sufferers
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

I've recently bought one of these air purifiers. Being a bit of a sceptic I went for one of the cheapest I could find on Amazon, Silentnight at £35 instead of the Vax at £243, mainly because if the cost of filters that need changing about every 6 months, depending on usage. £9 verses £50 made the choice easier.Anyway, I've now had it over a week and only use it in the bedroom, putting it on an hour before we go to bed. Have to say it's one of the best things I could have purchased do far with this vile illness (COPD). I sleep all night and don't even reach for meds/inhalers as I open my eyes like I did before.Highly recommend for anyone suffering in this weather as may help you too ????????????????

No more snotty sleeping child
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

Bought this for my sons bedroom as he suffers badly with hay fever, he’s 9 and has autism so struggles with nasal sprays etc. The first night of using it was a complete contrast to previous nights. He slept well and nose not bunged up. Put it on the lower fan - sleep mode and didn’t have as great a sleep. I’m going to leave it on full power, he still sleeps with the noise, it’s not bad unless you are an extremely light sleeper. So impressed I have ordered another 2 for living room and another bedroom. Also, new filters are a really good price.

Couldn’t be without it now!
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

I am SO glad that I bought this product. For months I had been suffering with a blocked nose due to sinus problems. I couldn’t go a day without my nasal spray and it was getting to the point where I relied on my nasal spray which isn’t healthy and made my nose worse and more congested in the long run. I decided to search for an air purifier to see if the clear air would help, I didn’t think it would however after one or two nights sleeping with this on, I stopped needing my nasal spray and my blocked nose / sinus problems completely went! They haven’t came back and I’ve not had a blocked nose since. I can really breathe a lot better when this product is on and you can feel how fresh & clean the air is. There’s a sleeping mode which is quieter so that you can have it on during the night. It doesn’t use too much electric. I don’t think I could be without this now! It also blows out cold air if you want it to, so it can act as a little fan as well! Love it.

Replacement filters no longer available
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

Having initially given this product a positive review earlier in the year, I feel compelled to re-evaluate. I still rate the effectiveness of the unit but am disappointed that replacement filters no longer seem to be available for this product - other reviewers have also noted this. Since the filters need to be replaced roughly every six months, I feel I now own something that is no longer fit for purpose.
