I use this to clean and sterilise the air in my birdroom and am amazed at the amount of dust/feathers that collect on the filters daily.

We have been using this item in our bedroom for two months now and it seems to be working well. It is extremely sensitive to aerosol sprays and will switch itself to maximum if anyone uses hairspray or a canned deodorant not only in the room it is placed but also within any adjacent room. We use it on the auto setting and can be very noisy when it turns the fan to full setting. There is a quiet setting shich we use at night and although it is still filtering the air it cannot be heard. The only problem is that you cannot really move it from room to room easily because each time you unplug it it has to go through a long reset process whereby it samples the air for five minutes and takes the result as being the 'base setting' for clean air, therefore you have to plug it in when the air is 'clean' . Not much use if you want to use it in a room which has contaminated air. Overall though I would still give it 5 stars as I have problems with my tear glands and this filter has reduced the eye irritations I normally suffer.

Quiet in use. Have allergy to birds and use in the room where I have pet birds. Hope this helps me to keep well.

Keeps the air fresh and is really quiet

Bought one of these to see if it would help with my allergic asthma reactions to our 3 Siamese cats. It arrived very early one morning, I had it set up and working within 10 minutes and then left it running for the rest of the day.
First thing I noticed was after about 30 mins I could detect a very faint, but not unpleasant metallic odour in the room, apparently this is the air being Ionized and negatively charged (good for you) if that odour is still around I never noticed it after another 30 mins.
The unit is a little larger than I anticipated but it is stylish and it is designed to operate in large rooms, on its normal setting it is virtually silent and only becomes noticeable when it detects the presence of any pollutants in the air (including a quick squirt of floral air freshener) and automatically boosts its own fan speed until it has scrubbed the air clean and then reverts back to silent mode.
WOW !!!!!!! this machine really does do what it is designed to do, by early evening my normally wheezey chest felt more relaxed and by day 2 i was breathing better than I have for months, I don't know if it is coincidence but I have also started sleeping a little better. My wife who is not asthmatic in any shape or form has also commented on how clean the air smells in the lounge and as an unexpected footnote, dust build up on things like the TV and HI-FI has been much reduced, I can only assume the machine is sucking it in and absorbing it as part of it's natural operation.
I do wish I had tried one of these along time ago because it has made a truly amazing difference to my life.

Product came the very next day. Does all it says on product info. Very quiet operation. Need to wait and see if it helps in my kids asthma. Last 2 days he did mention that he had a good sleep.
