The washer dryer is advertised as 1600 spin, the trouble is if you set this on the dry function the heat expansion and spin speed end up killing the machine. We ended up getting a replacement from Belling direct, but their customer service is appalling and it's up to you to keep contacting them back. The courier picked up the old one but didn't bring a new one at the same time, so we were left without a machine over the weekend - thanks Belling.The second one we kept to 800/1200 spin to ensure it lasted a bit longer. However there is no easy way to empty the filter without using towels to stop flooding the floor when the filter door is opened. The last machine we had did have a little tube and cap so that you could direct the residual couple of litres of water into a bowl or jug. This Belling doesn't have this, so it empties on the floor in front of and inevitably behind the filter door, under the machine. You are supposed to check the filter every wash. What a pain in emptying the filter to check.I would recommend checking the filter in this way, as the little plastic shirt collar inserts find their way between the door seal and drum into the filter, where they stop the pump impeller. The filter will let anything of this size through to the pump impeller. So the machine then errors out and you have to bail the water out by hand. The remainder of the water in and around the drum, say about 10 litres, will end up on the floor and underneath the machine. A classic case of stupid design. Be prepared with plenty of towels.Overall I would steer clear of this machine. I would imagine looking at the Chinglish manual (very lacking in detail on the drying functionsand no error code info at all) that is it a poorly designed generic machine rebadged with the Belling label. Belling typically don't make washing machines. That tells you all you need to know about this model. You have been warned!
