I had this machine in graphite for five months,and in that time it was seen by engineers six times,five trying to balance the appalling noise and vibrations that came from it,and just when i thought it couldn't get worse,it did.The dryer heater melted and overheated inside it,causing the machine to shut down completely with a full load inside it.I refused another repair from hotpoint,and thanks to currys i now have a hoover vision 8 kg washer dryer instead.The noise and shaking was so bad that my neighbour complained about the noise at night,and i could feel the vibrations along the floor and even in another room.You could actually see the machine display shaking,and we tried everything because they blamed our wooden flooring.We tried rubber feet,mats,carpet tile but the 1600 spin is not adaptable,and the noise was like heathrow airport on a bad day.It didn't do much for our pipes either.It cleaned well enough,but the dryer was not good at all,and consequently the washing was either soaken wet or misshapen and shrunken.It had to go.I will never buy a hotpoint or indesit product again.My new hoover washer dryer may be a tad noisy,but i can adapt the spin to suit,and it's a lot quieter than the hotpoint ever was.It was quite a big and clumsy machine as well,and in comparison the hoover is narrower and neater.
