What is shared the light after all these years of finding a phone that could finally stand up to my abusive nature I found one fantastic signal feels good in the hand a screen that could stand up to David and Goliath Goliath overall a fantastic fine thank you Amazon thank you.
I. SeedsIf you want a phone that can do apps without being clunky and slow, but you don't want to spend a lot of money and want a phone that is tough and won't fall apart on you. This is the phone is the bee knees well happy with it, battery can last about day and a half using it all the time
max wilkinsonGood value for the money. Reasonably light after my last waterproof phone which was like a brick. Not sure how long the rubber hinged gasket on the charging point will last. Doesn't look like it is replaceable and seems very thin at the hinge point. Other than that, an easy to use phone which does what I want without spending a fortune.
BrettLike the price. Quick processor. Android 9 kept up to date. Large memory.Dislikes - brightness too high on booting. Automatic levels also high so had to go manual. Not many sounds so installed my own.
Amazon CustomerHaving recently broken my Experia I need an inexpensive phone to see out the rest of year till my upgrade. Having searched the internet I came across this. A first I was a bit hesatent as I have never heard of this brand. After a little research I bit the bullet and ordered it.It arrived next day earlier than expected. Straight out of the box it was ready to. After the usual logging back into email and Google photos everything from my previous phone was on. Very easy to use it is like an iPhone but with all the benefits of Android. The internet is a quick as a higher prices handset. No lagging. The phone feels very robust but not to bulky. The camera is good.It doesn't come with a music player but a quick search on play store sorted that.My only criticism is the Bluetooth dose not allow you to play songs through car audio. Handsfree works great. There is a cheaper version available but it is only 3g. I may consider keeping this rather than upgrading or even purchase the cubot x29 pro.
mark timminsI bought it because I keep breaking screens so time will tell . But so far I love it, after a bit if getting used to how to screen shot and where are my apps! It's quick and easy to use.
Helen FerneeI bought the Cubot Quest to replace a defective Ulefone Armor X5. £30 more in price but worth it for decent camera optics, a fingerprint sensor, 64GB of built-in RAM instead of 32 and no bloatware. The Quest looks a bit less Star Trek than the X5, which has a more fancy design with contrast side panels and decorative-looking buttons. In contrast the all-black Quest is a lot like other black monolith smartphones, only it's dressed up in a rigid, rugged-looking case with a nice shiny CUBOT logo on the back. Oh yes, and it has a slimmer chassis than the X5 so it fits easier in car phone holders. The Quest drops and bounces pretty well but if you use a glass screen protector it can get chipped on the edges. There's a raised bezel but the protector surface is a bit proud of it.What does the Armor X5 have that the Quest doesn't? Not much really. The dust plugs on the X5 have a little pull-out retaining strap so you can twist them out of the way. The USB plug on the Quest is just a flap and I can see it breaking off at some point, but thats a minor niggle. One thing that I do miss from the X5 is the ability to fully customise the "easy access" button. The Quest has such a button but you can't use it to activate the flashlight or many other features like you can on the X5. It's not a huge issue, just a bit frustrating. I can use it to turn the camera on but then the screen stays off until I unlock it. Hmmm...How does it perform? Like a £150 Chinese smartphone running Android Pie. Apps open reasonably quickly, screen resolution and touch response are okay, selfie cam and back cameras are good and so is battery life. The phone doesn't get too warm whilst charging or running power-hungry apps and sound quality from the microphone, earphone and rear speaker is good. After just over a month of ownership all is well. The fingerprint sensor should be cleaned regularly for it to read reliably. I'm getting used to the camera and native app and it takes a good image. Not super sharp but good for a £150 phone.Don't expect a Galaxy o
Mark HaleJust as stated. Good phone easy to hold and use. Good battery life at least 2 full days before need to charge.
IAN M.Plenty of memory and storage. Fast processor. Slim. Durable. Long battery life.Supports multiple Sims (or one sim and one SD card). Why pay megabucks for Apple or Samsung?Phone comes with a plastic screen protector pre-fitted. I left this on for about 4 months, but it's got lightly scratched so I removed it and fitted a toughened glass protector. Clarity is much improved and I thoroughly recommend doing this (while the Gorilla Glass screen is probably tougher than the protector, I feel that the extra layer of protection is worth while).
Neil McKReplaced an old Samsung S3. Only had the phone 5 months but really pleased with it so far - fast, rugged, super battery life.
C. ScottFor the price this is very good phone with functions you would expect in a smartphone in this day and age. It can be little tricky to relearn to operate and discover everything again if you are moving from different brand. Give it few days to familiarise with the menu. You can create folders by placing an icon on top of an icon.Battery can last days so there is no need to worry unless you play games all day long. If you are using SD card you will need to format it before it will be accepted by the phone.Graphics is basic so it will not run 3D games on high settings.Screen isn't as good as it is on more expensive smartphones but it's definitely good enough if you are not a pixel peeper.I use pocket Bluetooth receiver to plug my wired headphones in. This phone does not have 3.5mm jack.
PeterThe fingerprint opening some times does not work if you have dirty/oily hands. The phone does sometimes freeze so I just restart the phone once a week, this seems to help. The phone does heat up if you are using for a long period of time, it does seem to be rugged enough for me and I work in the building industry and an outdoor active person. I haven't dropped it yet so don't know how rugged it is, the phone has a good feel, the rubber back and sides make it non slip even from my clumsy grip in cold, wet muddy conditions.
david russellTried face recognition and it works but like the finger print scan better. Links with my wireless headphone and my car system no issues. Value seems brilliant. Operating all Google home equipment through Google assistant no problems. All the apps I need including bank and work related productivity stuff has been no hassle to setup. Don't really play music on my phone so can't comment - sound ok when watching YouTube. Have thrown in the bath - no issues. Have dropped by accident - not a scratch. Camera not great in anything but reasonable light conditions. Have moved to this from IPhone and no regrets so far.
Mr A.Bought this for my partner as she was needing a new phone as her old one had awful battery and pone to crashing. This one has great battery, nice and rugged so don't need to worry about her accident prone nature. All in all its a great phone and looks really stylish.
dan dearlingI bought this to my 9 year old, and wanted a solid waterproof phone. This is our first Cubot, and we're really satisfied. The camera isn't that good but that's not why we bought it. The phone is perhaps big for a kid but our son loves it since that means he can play games on a nice sized screen. For European buyers - the socket is not for our electric system so make sure to fix a charger to the cable ;-) And since it's waterproof, there is no 3,5mm headjack for headphones
Jenny Stenman EkAbsolutely amazing!! I had a doogee and lasted like 10 days and it broke (got a refund). I had this phone for few days now and although I haven't used the fingerprint and the face recognition must say that the battery life its unreal, I can be playing music for like 3h and YouTube for 2-3h and play games for like 1h and the battery will last 2 days, screen quality is superb for the price. Phone is fast and so far I'm happier than with my iPhone 7s which I payed 5-6 times as much( that was few years ago)
CustomerGot this as I’m terrible at looking after my phones, so robust was needed. This does the truck, while still looking up to date.Had never heard of cubot before washing my last phone, my son had one, who has also updated his cubot. All in all very happy, battery life amazing.Finger print recognition also good.Face recognition sometimes fails so have to use another firm to unlock, ut not a problem.????????
MazaOut of the box the phone is great. There are a few features I haven't tried, but for what I want to use it for (mainly social media, emails and phone calls) the phone is great and a big upgrade from the very slow (1GB RAM) smartphone I was using. Compared to my old phone, this phone is like a small tablet. You can watch videos, surf the web and read. The screen is fine.My only complaint is that the pre-installed screen protector has some bubbles underneath it. I'm glad that the phone does come with a screen protector already installed (I wasn't expecting it) but the job of putting it on was not done flawlessly.
S ReynoldsI've come over from the iPhones to this android. It's a bit thicker than the iPhone but not by too much. The screen is clear and responsive, the finger print reader is pretty good with no real issues and Google pay is pretty much comparable to Apple pay.Ok Google is better at recognising my speech accurately and has a bit more of a personality. The battery life is a huge step up from the iPhones but for a fraction of the price.
cluspHad this for a few months and it is great. Fitted a new screen protector after a while as the one it came with got grubby. Best bit is i don't need a case and have run it under the tap to test waterproof aspect. No problems.Screen is really bright even in sunlight. Both sims work fine - uses a lot of battery unless you swap one down to 2g and keep data on one. Otherwise on one lasts for ages. For the money and if you don't want to play games brilliant.
