I have got this huawei mate 10 pro for over 2 years now. Best phone I had so far. Always been an iPhone fan but since l move to android its much better. Phone is still very fast and working excellent. Camera is great for pictures. Battery least for one day. Its still much better then iPhone. Recommend this phone to everyone!

As someone's who's not entirely appreciative of modern flagship grade prices, I decided to opt for this phone given its high ratings by a well known source, GSM arena.Software: this phone ships with android 9 pie, but then will update to the latest version of emui 10/android 10.regarding software, I'm personally more leniant towards other Emui than vanilla android, given I find it a bit dull. With Emui overlaying android 10, it feels as intuitive to use and play around with on a daily basis. I've had no issues so far with this. Though some may not appreciate this skin.Performance - with the kirin 980, this cpu is more than powerful enough to handle day to day tasks and using social media. It was 2018's flagship, but it is still very respectable in 2020 given in benchmarks it scores approx 405,000, which is equilavent to the likes of qualcomm 845 which esd featured in many flagship phones also. Although the gpu isn't chart topping as of now, it is still more than powerful enough to power through the most demanding tasks and games, such as fortnite which run smoothly on epic settings. Cos mobile also plays at maximum settings seamlessly.All in all I say this Is still a competitor in today's marketCamera - although on paper it may not seem promising that the 3 rear cameras don't have ois, which is well respected for night time shots, these cameras perform great. Daytime shots are as flagship level as they get (even for 2020), with great colour reproduction, contrsdt, dynamic range and detail. Night time scenes are also spectacular (most of the time). With huawei's dedicated night mode, this phone uses multi stacking to give you a very promising result. I say the cameras on board are certainly competitive and definetely beat the likes of many mid rangers.Battery - I had no issue getting though an entire day with this phone. I was looking for a big phone with 5G and found this. Very doubtful purchasing an Huawei phone with all the hype about not supporting Google. This Mate 20 X 5G is guaranteed by Huawei to be fully supported and future proof for at least 2 years.It's a monster 7.2 inch screen but surprisingly fits OK in the hand, emerald green in colour as a Leica triple lens camera which is a dream to use. No point in explaining all the specs because if you are reading this you have perused them.In my opinion having had several phones including my last one a Galaxy Note 10 plus 5G which i paid £1199.00 which turned out to be a disaster, kept freezing. I purchased this Mate 20 X for £609.00 half the price of the Note 10 and the performance is far superior. The phone is quick, stunning graphics and sound. The interface is very slick and after all the updates it is now running the latest android operating system. To say i am pleased with the purchase is a understatement . Best phone i have ever had, buying one at this price is a steal and i promise you wont be disappointed.

Nice size looks big but you get used to it very quickly, this is definitely better than the smaller pro version if you want great battery, biuger screen, yet same camera, has fantastic finger print reader, and all the iter bells and whistles Huawei mate is known for, the pictures are just top quality and come out great with a little practice, dual stereo speakers that's just fantastic for trips watching TV showsand movies, battery life I'm getting on heavy usage 8 hours +, if on plane in airplane mode I've had watching movies I've had 19 hours this still gets all Google apps and updates in 2020, and at its current price £300 to 400 its a bargain and still is just as good as Huaweis latest.Highly recommended.

Just a quick summary to say that this is arguably the best phone I have ever had! Coming from my previous phone which was a large phablet with a 6.6" screen, the Mate 20 X with it's 7.2" screen is the perfect phone for me as I predominantly watch alot of videos and films. The picture quality on this oled screen is amazing especially for watching videos, for which I am baffled on how this screen is only a 1080p screen and not quad HD! It is same picture quality of the current oled display TVs ! You have to see this for yourself! Additionally this phone is quick and buttery smooth with an abundance of features available which for under £500 with a pen/stylus and smart cover, makes this an absolute bargain!

My previous phone was an iPhone 6S . It was nice enough as it goes, but as I am planning a 4 week trip abroad I wanted something with a better camera.After ploughing through reviews and comments I decided to leave the Apply system and buy this Android phone.There are a few niggles (the prompting from Huawei to let them into your email) for one example, but for the most part the tailored Android system seems to work fine with all my apps.The phone itself is excellent. The signal pickup (EE) is very strong in this area. It is a known bad area for mobile signals, so credit to this phone for getting 3 bars when my other phone (on O2) gets nothing at all!The audio quality is first class, both received and sent.The screen is easy to use, but the rounded glass body takes a bit of getting used to if you’ve used a ‘flat’ phone previously.All my apps run well, and quickly, and I can even do some photo editing in LightRoom on it, suck is the power of the processor.The quality of the screen is stunning. Everything is sharp and bright.The camera is something else - in a good way.The quality of images from the camera are outstanding.It even has a RAW facility (something only found previously on high end DSLR cameras) and this enables you to access the original (large) and unprocessed camera file and apply your own sharpening, correct exposure errors, etc.I suspect very few users of this phone will actually use this but, as a photographer by profession, I am using it all the time.I have never paid this kind of money for a phone before, but I can see why it costs what it does.A fantastic piece of equipment.

Great phone with many good features. Very quick and smooth processor whilst using the various applications.The build quality is superb.The camera takes marvellous photos which are crystal clear. Having a very limited zoom is the only downside I have found so far.The screen is well above average as well , vivid colours and great resolution with a decent speaker(s) thrown in.A very smooth transition from my old phone to this mate20 and a very noticeable difference for the better. A highly recommended phone.

This phone is excellent value, with an excellent screen, battery life is superb getting 2 days from a single charge, yes it is big but that is no problem for me and I have had many phones from all brands, absolutely a great deal...

Brilliant phone

I love this large mobile, it is the largest one I have ever had and it's amazing. Great for everything, can see everything easily. Only charge every 3 days and I use it all the time. Husband is envious.

The phone has great screen size 7.2 inches. Ideal for those who likes taking pictures too. 40mpx camera and 24 front camera. Pixels wise it got magnificent colours and details.

I was a bit worried that this phone might be too large but I find it to be a reasonable size, larger hands probably. The screen is clear with no noticeable pixelation, is very fast and has plenty of ram, I'm very happy with my purchase and hope it lasts, never having had a Huawei phone I can say that this is easy to use and the operating system, although taking a bit of getting used to, is very good

This is fantastic phone, long time work on battery.Graet price ,and free smart etui and pen for free.

This phone is still very relevant a year later as it was very high spec when it was released like it's Mate 20 pro counter part. This ranks it highly in its price range compared to some of the budget phones it now competes with. This is a BIG phone though so be mindful of this. Put simply: it's fast, has a great huge OLED screen that's flat!!, has proper dual stereo speakers, a headphone jack! A 5000mah battery that easily lasts 2 and also the Mate 20 pro cameras that rate highly in DXOmark.
