I have purchased it in July 2019. The phone does not turning on after last system actualisation (21/05/2020). Screen is black, occasionally Sony word appear for a few seconds than disappear. System is not booting. I've tried everything. Battery is in good condition and charged 50%. Hard drive about 50%. Phone has been working well until the last update. Suddenly it turned off by itself. Update by update the performance was going down. I've noticed poorer response of the finger print scanner comparably to the beginning of usage. Battery is still good. I'm very disappointed with this system failure.

Ok so here is the story. The first one arrived and while updating it went into a reboot sequence. The phone got pretty hot and could not be shut down. Had to return it. The second phone did the exact same however my wife put the phone on a cooling block and allowed the battery to run flat. I then found a blog where this is a known issue for the Sony Phones. I sent her the link and it took a day for the PC software to reset the phone. After that it has been perfect and she loves the phone. I think it is overpriced but my wife really wanted this model. Caution to all buyers in software update sequence.

Keeps overheating pretty boring phone! My old budget phone worth half this was better with more features and options which I now miss. The camera yes it's good on low light but it's not practical. All your shots are invaded by oversharpening noise and so little options. Big chunky and heavy. Looks like I'm stuck with this phone for a while the only good thing is the 4k display for viewing content.

Not working properly, will only send mms not text, I just bought a package for talk and text, the bought a phone that will not text???? Hoped it was my fault or (in settings) but it is not battery does not last one whole day of doing nothing until the evening, gets VERY HOT ???? DURING CHARGING.

 I have purchased this item since 22March 2019, and I wasn’t expecting the ending dadte is three months after. Surely I have pasted the refund date. Don’t know what to do with this now. Wasted £400 on this. I am very disappointed.

And there is no way this can be unmuted, eg by moving into better reception conditions.The other end also report spark-sound before the voice is dropped..Most likely the bit error is to much for the voice codecBut this is a BUG. the Z5 never ever had this problem

I can hear the other party crystal clear. I'm muted... And there is no way this can be unmuted, eg by moving into better reception conditions.
The other end also report spark-sound before the voice is dropped..
Most likely the bit error is to much for the voice codec
But this is a BUG. the Z5 never ever had this problem
