I replaced the existing wooden floor with concrete and it is possible to chat or listen to the radio while in spin. I love the size of the door and the fact that you simply open rather than press a button. The choice of programs is in 'Plain English' avoiding the quandary with some machines. For my Son to enjoy using a washing machine must be a positive for the Bosch. Bosch have clearly made a decision to make the controls on their machines simple for the customer to use. You simply load the machine, select the program, load cleaning agent and press on. On completion the machine bleeps, you turn the program knob to off. The effectiveness of the Bosch in washing clothes is unsurpassed even by an expensive Miele which the Bosch replaced. Badly soiled items come up almost as new. With previous machines you normally get what you get. We have been delighted with the Bosch in every respect.. It also proved that the reviews I read were accurate and on which I based my decision.
