Amazon CustomerI bought this for my 12 year old son. After some burned fingers from our popcorn 'penguin' I thought I'd try a more traditional type popcorn maker. My gran's sister had one of these in the US when I was a kid. She'd let us make pancakes on it!! We were not disappointed with this one. It takes a bit of shaking and jiggling to get perfect corn but it all adds to the fun. My son made gorgeous corn, his sister even approved and because it's essentially a hot plate with a bowl I will be teaching him how to make proper American pancakes on it! He's now known as the popcorn King!!

sandy.teasdaleBought as a gift. after reading some of the reviews I did warn him that popcorn might fly out in all directions but he had to try it for himself.. and yes popcorn everywhere! A tea towel is fine to guide it down into a bowl.
