Not Great in low light so the ISO needs cranking (gets grainy) or the shutter speed needs slowing (blurred images)

This is not an IS Canon lens, it doesn't have Image Stabilisation. Nothing wrong with that, it is what it says it is, but you need to be aware as a buyer. If like me you're an enthusiastic amateur photographer and that fact escaped you (as it did me, Doh!) you're better off improving your chances of a good picture with an IS kit lens and paying a little bit more. I've bought an IS version since, it makes a profound difference, I'll trade this one in at some point. It arrived in a plain box, none of the usual instructions, bumf and guarantee you get with a new Canon lens normally (it did say plain box in the description). It did have lens caps and looked brand new.

good price, arrived when advised, its a standard camera lens for canon, what else can I say
