Neither the vertical shutter button or the remote control work - assuming the remote doesn't work because the vertical trigger doesn't work (yes, the cable is connected from the battery grip to the camera). I have tried with another wireless remote shutter release system that plugs in to the same connection on the camera and that works perfectly (proving the camera connection socket is working fine). The battery part of the grip works (provides power to the camera). Cannot recommend this battery as it doesn't work as advertised.
