I did an AF fine tune right out of the box to my camera, +2, its very sharp. Autofocus is pretty fast and accurate. I also have the yongnuo 50mm which takes a little while longer to focus, so i'm very impressed with how the 35mm performs in comparison. For the price its fantastic, the closest in price is the Nikon 1.8 35mm DX, which of course on a full frame camera would cause too much vignetting, and is also more expensive.I would 100% recommend if you cannot afford to spring for a higher end lens.

NaceTook a chance and bought this lens to practice newborn photography with as the alternative are much more expensive, agree with some other reviews that it can be a little slow and 'clunky' when in use, a bit noisy when auto focusing, have found when reviewing photographs afterwards every so many images are not always in focus. Overall happy with it for practice as a cheaper alternative, which I will continue to use for now until I can afford a better one!
