The AF is terrible, with a grinding motor and moving front. Like something from the 1990's. This is nothing like the modern mirrorless camera lens I expected it to be. Construction is cheap and plastically, and aesthetically the lens is very formal and not at all "photography", more like a piece of office equipment. It's also larger than expected, so you may as well get the superior Canon EF 35mm F2.0 IS instead. Canon are really dropping the ball. The optics are fine though, it's sharp and capable of nice photos but it's a soulless endeavour with cheap-as-chips mechanical components.
