The ergonomics of the lens are amazing. Nice feel
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

I have these lens for a while now and i have tested it in every way i can. I will review it in three ways. Ergonomics, glass and output.

The ergonomics of the lens are amazing. Nice feel, solid built and it ages very well if you take cafe of it. On thing i would want different is the front piece of the lens. It is shaped like a dome and it is easy to scratch it if you don't take cafe of it.
The glass of the lens is amazing. Sharp to the point if you stop it down to 5.6T (~5,8 A). No vin that i could notice and most important i have notice that it has a very unique feels in it's image.
The output image feels very different from any other lens i've used.
Overall please be aware that the focus is long and only usefull on people that shoot video and not images. Get the normal verson if you want images and not the cine. It'll have that Apertures stops that you are used on and not the T stops.

Great lens, good image, fine ergonomics. I am happy to ask any question you have about this lens if you want!

Its like, you move the ring to get every thing ...
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

MMMMM, theres well documented issues with this lens(so I've found), regarding the Focusing and the Infinity setting on the focus.
Every SINGLE picture i took on my GH4 was out of focus.......Even at Infinity.
Its like, you move the ring to get every thing into focus and JUST at th point where you think its about to get Fully Focused.....it stops....
Like it doesn't turn far enough. Some people say that the INFINITY marker is sett To-Far and you have to Pull Back a bit to get it to focus....NO SO with me, it just WOULD NOT focus....Period!
Very disappointed, as it was supposed to be a great lens and great value!!
Sent it back today......for Full Refund, NOT a replacement.
Well built though.......but kind of pointless if it can't take Pictures!

Product Description

The Samyang 14mm T3.1 Lens was developed primarily for film and video applications. The cine version of Samyang's 14mm lens features industry-standard gearing for the focus and aperture ring, and the aperture ring has been "declicked" for smooth iris pulls. The aperture and focus scales have also been relocated to the side of the lens, where it is easier for focus pullers to read them.

The Samyang 14mm cine lens is compatible with full-frame sensors, and produces a 115 degree ultra-wide angle-of-view. The optical construction is comprised of hybrid aspherical lenses which render sharply defined images with a minimum of distortion and chromatic aberrations. The 14mm also features Ultra Multi Coated (UMC) lenses for improved light transmission and resistance to ghosting and flares.
