PawelA miraculous little lens. Optically better than its predecessor whilst being much smaller and lighter, and it still has image stabilisation built in. Plus it has a much smoother zoom action.
It's about the same size as the mark 2 Olympus 14-42 MSC lens when in its collapsed state, but the Olympus lens is much longer when "uncollapsed" and ready to shoot.
Independent tests put it close to the performance of the original high quality 14-45 Lumix lens which is still highly regarded and fetches high prices.
NOTE there are 2 versions of this lens, one with a plastic lens mount and one with a metal lens mount (also both come in silver and black). The plastic mount version is supplied as part of a camera/lens kit, and the metal mount version is the retail version sold separately. The plastic mount is entirely adequate as the lens weighs so little.

Il offre une plage de zoom polyvalente de 14-42 mm (équivalent 24x36: 28-84 mm) convenant à un large éventail de situations du paysage au portrait. Composée de 9 éléments en 8 groupes, le système de lentilles adopte 2 lentilles asphériques pour obtenir une nouvelle réduction de la taille et du poids tout en conservant sa performance optique élevée à toutes les focales.
