I had this laptop for a little while and I can confirm that it runs really hot. I would not recommend this laptop without an additional cooling fan pad underneath. GPU temperatures were reaching 97-98 C when under load. There are some weird stutters when gaming sometimes which is really annoying. For the money I would recommend getting a different laptop (or at least get some additional cooling fan pads for it) I only use it when I'm away from home. Consider different laptops before buying this one. Apart from stuttering and really high temps when gaming, I did not have any other problems with it.
KrystianThis laptop is painfully slow. It can't even open Google Chrome without lagging. I have a desktop built with a similar amount of money and it performs way faster. It took me 30 minutes to do what's only supposed to take less than 2 minutes with a normal computer. The headache this laptop gives you is not worth the money whatsoever.
DannyThis laptop is so slow it goes backwards at times, I am not even joking, takes1 minute to navigate through google chrome and when you try and install something takes 30 minutesNo joke. Even pressing alt ctrl and delete takes 2 minutes for it to do anything.
Simon W.Upon arrival the laptop would not charge. Tried and tested different cables, power outlets etc but with no luck so most likely a faulty battery. Had no choice but to return and a replacement was unable to be provided. The price has since been increased so despite being refunded I can’t even buy t again
Amazon CustomerVery very disappointed with this product, at first i though it need updates to maybe speed things up, but this became fruitless as i am now left with a laptop that simply dose not work, it is so slow it bearly functions so i go back to using my old laptop, not happy at all
Amazon CustomerBought this due to limited budget and wanted a half decent processor with fairly modern Nvidia graphic card on that budget. Read reviews before purchase and was aware of the compromises, however the battery life is really poor, so most of the time as im using this laptop for graphic design programs such as After Effects, Photoshop etc etc.... even these drain the battery fairly rapidly. 2 and half hours seems to be the maximum im getting from it. Would expect 4 hours to be honest. The other slight annoyance is the need to adjust the screen gamma, brightness etc. It doesnt feel like it is dull even with the brightness on full whack and with playing with system settings, display settings and intel settings - It just doesnt seem to have that brightness i have with my old acer apsire lpatop....but i can deal with the screen. It is a nice laptop. seems well built, back light keyboard is a good touch and the track pad is not much of an issue at all, even though online reviews say it is. Overall it is 3/3.5 rating and great for people on a budget like me. The other downside (nearly forgot) is that a lot of drivers need updating straight from the box, so be sure to check device manager carefully. Windows updates dont do enough on their own updates.Still pleased with the buy and much prefer the design and appeal of Acer over HP or Asus etc. Couldnt find anything better for the price paid. So if you want a reliable laptop but with some more than half decent kit under the bonnet then this is a great buy. Compromise is tough to balance.....
MartyIt was easy to set up. But is not able to run games on the lowest resolutions. Not sure what I'm doing wrong, but less than impressed as it was late turning up and can't even play games due to the outrageous lag. After getting more issues with this product i have decided to to return it as it appears to be a common complaint from other buyers that it is not at all fit for purpose. It's a shame as was really looking forward to doing some gaming. So I will talk with Amazon and find a better laptop that actually works as soon as my refund processes. As they have always been helpful in the past I will not hold it against themI would not recommend getting this product
