Good phone if you are just the occasional phone user.If you are a heavy phone user, just get an iPhone SE.The fingerprint reader is not even close to the Xiaomi A2 however it ishidden inside the screen, so if you have aestethic concerns, that might be good.

Phenomenal value and very suited to a kid. Runs almost stock android, excellent battery life and quick enough. I've seen complaints about the screen. You might notice for a while coming from a higher density display, but it's hardly a deal breaker. It's oled too, i think, with all of the advantages that brings, which at this price is probably unusual.

The phone is of good build and has a very good battery which lasts all day. The phone charges very quickly in an hour and half for full charge. The camera is good but 48mp is too far out for some pictures.

Upgraded from a Sony - long battery life, good photos.

An amazing quality phone for the price. Does anything and everything do a great standard. In screen sensor works well the camera is outstanding. All for less than £200 a no brainer if you need a phone at a price that won’t break the bank.

I just couldn't bring myself to buy a very expensive smartphone. In fairness and for the price, I have been impressed with the phone so far.

I had a 3YO Moto G4 which still worked - but the 16GB of main storage was limiting and the battery needed charging more frequently. So I researched my next phone options - I just use Three PAYG so never consider a contract. The Moto G7 looked fine but then I came across the Xiaomi A3. Android One is great and should ensure updates. The tray with the SIM and microSD card is fiddly but then I found it does OTG, so with a cheap OTG cable and the excellent Cx File Explorer I can easily copy or move files on/off the internal storage. I did pay over 200 pounds but that got me the 128GB model with 4GB of memory so it runs very smoothly. I added a 128GB microSD card for little over a tenner plus a gel protector for the back.

I found Android 9 fine once I learned how to substitute swipes for the missing what's running control. And the only real negative in the reviews - the 1560x720px screen - is absolutely fine for me. It's AMOLED so the colours are great, the sharpness is fine and I like having a long, tall screen, easy to hold. I can't comment on the fingerprint sensor and neither would I have used NFC if provided. But I do like the presence of a headphone jack, the excellent cameras and the long lasting battery. All in all a superb phone and I'm still puzzled at people who pay so much more money for not a lot of extra capability.

The product has been satisfactory by displaying excellent performance and fluidity. Moreover, the touchscreen is of good quality, allowing users to access the mobile phone quite straightforwardly. So far, I have not experienced any major problem.

Love it, only 4 stars because it's don't have nfc

Myself and my sister have had numerous Xiaomi phones between us without any issue; they are good value and high spec phones so I decided to get a present of one for my mum. Within less than a month of use the battery is useless running down in no time, she is a very light user, doesn't surf the internet just sends the odd message. This is very disappoiting especially as her nearest Argos is a 2 hour round trip and she needs my card to exchange it or get a refund.

It was a flagship product from xiaomi in 2018. It is a good bargin in 2019.

Great phone on great price. My previous phone was Mi 5 plus, good phone but not that good as this one. Mi 8 is lighter and the amoled display is much better. The only one thing which i think can be better is battery, everything else on the phone is super.

After a review on the internet and Search a New mobile phone for myself, I was in doubt between an iPhone 7 or 8 or a Xiaomi. I Just choosed Xiaomi Mi 8 because this mobile give me everything that an iPhone gives but without spend a lot of money and something Else.

Very nice Android phone, fast and efficient. Excellent value for money!
