From day one it sometimes randomly won't connect to wifi with seemingly no solution other than to wait until it decides to fix itself. The mousepad is abysmal and often gets stuck clicked down. The tab and address bars seem to glitch out if too many tabs are open at once in Chrome until it and eventually any other open programmes glitch out completely and the laptop must be restarted. Once the laptop shut down and factory reset itself for no discernible reason and I lost all notes that I'd saved onto the laptop. It also just experiences major slowdown - YouTube videos will buffer even if they are completely loaded or would load smoothly on any other device. I've had to put up with all of this as I need the laptop for uni and couldn't spare any time to try and get any issues repaired. The only positives are the battery life which so far has been solid and the estimated hours it will run are pretty accurate.
Joseph O'MalleyDisappointed as This didn’t work straight out the box. Couldn’t get any sign of life after hours of being on charge. Sure it’s a scent product when it works. Sent it back, got a refund.
Mr B CormackJust a review to advise potential buyers to look carefully at the colour choice on Amazon. There are two colour choices blue and white. What it doesn't tell you, unless you look very closely, is that they are two different machines. I read the specs of the main page, which is blue by default, which includes touch screen and swivel screen. Saw the colour white and a cheaper price and selected that thinking I was just changing colour. Nope. What i got is a standard keyboard and screen chromebook. Can't use it as tablet. Sending it back.

A DavidsonThis is my 2nd chromebook. I keep it on the kitchen table and use it mainly for gmail & google calendar (great as it all syncs with phones and family have all shared their calendars so we can get a complete view), browsing, paying bills, online purchases, etc. I have access to a Windows PC also which I usually use to work on files because I find whilst the google docs apps are ok for viewing (though they can't open all attachment types), they are not much good for intensive work as the functionality is a bit limited and MS word docs don't always format and print accurately. This chromebook is nicer looking than my old one, in shiny white, though it does show finger marks and in my opinion looks suited to a teenager. The screen is matt, which I prefer so it doesn't reflect light, rather than shiny like most nowadays. The keys have a slightly rough (fine sandpaper-ish) feel to them which I'm not keen on.Overall it is ok and will do the job I bought it for but I have only given 3 stars due to: not seeming very robust (cheap plastic casing), screen/sound don't seem as good as my old samsung, fact that the mouse seems to freeze every couple of seconds while the processors catch up - it is the same spec as my old one so I wasn't expecting that and now I'm wondering whether I should have paid a bit more to get a model with a faster processor and more RAM...probably! But it will do for now.Update after 6 months use: I managed to resolve the mouse pad issue by updating to the latest chrome operating system. I have now passed this chromebook on to my daughter (age 9) who wanted one for Christmas, mainly to watch YouTube. She loves it and I have treated myself to a more expensive Asus chromebook which is faster, has better quality screen and sound, flips 360 degrees, looks more grown up, etc. I definitely recommend spending more if you want to really delight in every touch and use of your chromebook.
