Just what we needed

We are staunch Bosch users with washing machines, driers and dishwashers.. Our washing machine is still going strong after 14 years. This dishwasher is typical and has worked flawlessly for the past 2 years however has now started showing the dreaded E19 error message. So far we can eliminate it by switching off then on again - as per the instruction manual. However the Bosch web site states that when error 19 occurs contact Bosch who will come out for £109 + parts if out of warranty. Which of course ours is now 2 years and 3 months. Puzzling as this is our first problem in some 20 years of using Bosch products.

What a relief to have a new dishwasher after the eccentricites of the one it has replaced! This is a good reliable machine with a sensible range of programmes. Very pleased so far with its performance.

Using it for almost a few months now and it is pretty good. Not noisy and does the job well.Price is good as well (LCD ones are more expensive). Thumbs up

Such an amazing dishwasher. So quiet and really well organised. I will strongly recommend.

Bought this more than a year ago. My first dishwasher ever had. Real-life changer. With three kids at home, it is really busy piece of equipment. I use it at least twice a day. Everything I put inside comes back clean and shining. The only thing worth to remember is to clean it with proper chemicals every few weeks. Also, cleaning the filter every week or two will make it reliable for longer and also keeps away from unwanted smells.

Although presented as a 'budget' appliance, this machine has all the features a family needs. It is quiet and cleans efficiently. My only caveat is that the setup of the salination system using 'coded' leds on the front panel is confusing and difficult. But you only have to do it once.

Just what I wanted easy to use

Unfortunately our Bosch SGS 5342 D/W which was purchased in year 2000 broke down and it had to be replaced. The Bosch SMS 24AW01G WAS ON SPECIAL OFFER AND WITH AN EXTRA 15% off it seemed a bargain.It does not compare with our previous Bosch, workmanship poor. a plastic feel to the fixtures , on full wash and heat, does not dry the dishes properly.Manual poor, hard to read without strong reading glasses.German company, I expect manufactured in China.Not to the standard I expect from Bosch.However nothing but praise for Hughes Direct, the company I bought it from.

When we moved house 2yrs ago there was a dishwasher here but it was not a Bosch like my previous one. It didn't clean as well but we have had to wait until now to replace it. I am so happy to have a Bosch again everything comes out sparklingly clean and I was right the previous machine was definitely inferior. I would recommend Bosch to anyone we also have a Bosch washing machine also highly recommend that too. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

bought to replace a miele it washes better for a third of the price

It does its job quietly efficiently and cheaply - we should put them in the Houses of Parliament.

I'm very pleased with this product. It performs well even when very full. I particularly like that it turns off at the end of the cycle and that you can switch off the low salt warning in soft water areas [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

this dishwasher is great quality for the price but the delivery was changed 3 times but I was informed all the way by the operator of the delivery company so all was ok..thanks

My previous dishwasher was a Bosch and I was pleased with it so went straight for a replacement Bosch. I wish I hadn’t as this one, though an obviously more modern design, drives me nuts! Who on earth designs a dishwasher that moves when you open the door? Why has the design of the cutlery basket gone backwards? (I tried keeping the old one which was great, but it wouldn’t fit this machine). Also, I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve opened the door and the top basket has caught on the dispenser – another element of poor design. Yes the dishes are clean, but they’re certainly not as dry as in my old one either. So, all in all, a huge backward step, at considerable cost too. To be perfectly honest I wish I still had the old one, even with the broken door. Oh, and I had almost forgotten. A dishwasher should be very simple and straightforward to install. It wasn’t. An engineer’s visit was necessary just to complete the initial installation! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
