This camera is as clunky as it is amazing. It’s made worse by the fact Sony just simply doesn’t update firmware. I’m even sitting with an original Rx1 that hasn’t had one update. Things they added to this which they could have added to the original they didn’t. Things they could add to this from the mirror less range they don’t.
It’s an amazing camera for image quality. It’s a train wreck in usage simply because they’re basically released and abandoned.
If Sony oroperly supported this series they could be excellent but as it sits they’re very expensive niche cameras and very difficult to use for anything serious - especially if it’s more than landscape.
Great image quality. Am terrible almost everything f else from a company that snatches the cash for premium users and doesn’t much care after that. Also shown by their absurd trait policies / costs.
If they release a rx1r iii I don’t know if I’ll bother again. The Leica w is more expensive and lower megapixel but Leica value their customers.
