R wOne of the cheaper steam generator irons but does the job. I have previously spent a lot more on irons and they really don’t work any better and you can spend a lot more on an ordinary iron without the anti scale tank.
Christine H.Great iron and delivered as promised. Would highly recommend this company.
Helen LeesGood lightweight iron, very steamy when full steam setting set you'd think you were in a sauna and water tank needs constant refilling, settings not as easy to understand as my previous Russell Hobbs streamline generator iron which is no longer on the market. This is a good iron though.
millystarI bought this as a gift and the person is very pleased with it
Joanne StandenClothes well pressed with little effort. Light work for busy housewife.
Mr. D. SimpsonNice iron carnt wait to start and useing it
DianeHad this iorn over a year now just a shame there is no way of securing the iorn to the the base
George james reidVery pleased with this iron. Because the steam is produced in the base the iron is light and easy to use. It does need filling frequently if you use steamer but irons a lot of items perfectly well on non steam. Manufacturer recommends putting base on board itself which is not practical but there is enough cord to have it nearby
Whitby ManSo far so cook, lovely and quiet.
Hayley finchI was surprised how light the iron was, but once the steam flow was adjusted, it was very good. On the negative side, if you have small hand you are liable to keep hitting the "permanent" steam rather than the steam when you want. Takes a bit of getting used to. The other is the scale filter. The instruction say that this should be replaced every two/three weeks in hard water areas, i could not see this on the sales info. Haven't priced these yet, hopefully, not to expensive.
Vince HInitially I wasn't sure - I got this at a very good price to replace what I thought was a better product. However, after a few uses, I now find this one superior - it does take a bit of getting used and working out which settings work the best but I find it far more flexible and refined - when you only want a small amount of steam adjust the temperature and steam settings - yes, there are times you get drops of water but that doesn't bother me. As someone else said, replacing the filter could get costly so I've only given 4 stars - but I had the same issue with the previous steam iron that I had. I don't think 4-6 weeks will apply as a) i live in a soft water area and b) I don't do lots of ironing - will see how it goes and return to this review.
GemmaLovely bit Of kit does the job
Amazon CustomerReally, really pleased with my choice of steam iron, will recommend to any of my friends.

gurbaksh singhHi excellent service and product many thanks
davidpetrozziEasily the best iron we've ever had. Simple to setup, simple to use. You certain don't need the instruction manual. It takes less than thirty seconds to heat to 'shirt ironing' temperature, which is pretty much what we use ours for. It's. Spray button has quite a fair range to it. The Handle is comfortable, which is ideal for those big loads. And it glides smoothly across the fabric. The only issue is the size. It's big, and therefore a little difficult to store anywhere that doesn't either make it be in the way,or somewhere that isn't really that accessible. Overall a fantastic purchase, and one that I would very much recommend.
Pen NameI have tested and reviewed a fair few irons here on Amazon, and am currently using a high-powered Philips steam iron with a 2L water tank which can iron and press out even the most stubborn of creases. As a result, this Russel Hobbs model had a lot to live up to.Ironing can be a boring chore, especially without a steam iron. This press was easy to set-up, and I was up and running from unboxing in under 5 minutes. The iron itself is fairly compact, so particularly ideal for those wanting a steam iron with a water tank, but looking to save space, too. The base is also sturdy, and has a robust design. The iron warms up fairly quickly, and once powered on, it is safe to say that the iron makes ironing so much more fun! It really cuts through those hard-to-press, creased clothes. As with my current Tefal iron, ironing is much quicker and easier, almost fun! The joy of pressing the `steam' button never gets old! The is a 650mL water tank which is not too large, but does last a while.Additionally, the grip on the iron is comfortable, and particularly handy (no pun intended) for those long ironing sessions. The cord is also of a fair length, easily covering the largest of ironing boards. There are various settings on the iron itself, allowing you to adjust the temperature according to the type of fabric you are ironing, ensuring you don't damage those delicate and expensive garments. I have ironed T-shirts, shirts, ties, socks, trousers, jeans and vests with no problems.Conclusively, this is a good iron and particularly recommend for anyone looking for a high powered steam iron, with portability and low-price tag. Highly recommended. 4/5
Andy KumarIt comes with clear instructions on how to use it but it's self-explanatory. I've used it for the past couple of weeks and I am very impressed. Ironing a shirt takes half the time (if that). It takes a minute or two to heat up and off you go. The only downside is that you have to replace the filter every 4 weeks or so (depending on where you live). It can be a bit noisy from time to time but it's not that bad that you won't be able to hear the tv/radio.Definitely a good product, I don't use my iron any more as it's less hassle to use the steamer. Worth the money.
