Bought this after using a friends one, only to find that it didnt produce any steam at all! Heated up fine but rather useless if you cannot get the steam.

One of the cheaper steam generator irons but does the job. I have previously spent a lot more on irons and they really don’t work any better and you can spend a lot more on an ordinary iron without the anti scale tank.

like the steam for lots of ironingDon't like replacing cartridges every 2-3 weeks ! Cost 34 for 4 ! New machine only cost £60 .Had a different make in the past and only ever replaced a filter onceThis machine will not work when cartridges need changing - disappointing and expensive for ongoing costs

Good lightweight iron, very steamy when full steam setting set you'd think you were in a sauna and water tank needs constant refilling, settings not as easy to understand as my previous Russell Hobbs streamline generator iron which is no longer on the market. This is a good iron though.

...I cannot say much, as it broke after a week using it! Water started flooding down from the tank to the floor and I returned it back.The return process worked really well, though and the supplier refunded the full amount I paid.

Clothes well pressed with little effort. Light work for busy housewife.

This was bought to replace my older Russell Hobbs generator iron..sticking to old one. The buttons on base got really hot, the noise they warn you about is horrific and the cartridges would cost £10+ every 2 months as in hard water area (mine drain) shame as looked nicer then mine

Steam output etc was great whilst it lasted. Stopped working after a couple of months so had to send back. Amazon were fantastic collected it straight away and refunded me

Very pleased with this iron. Because the steam is produced in the base the iron is light and easy to use. It does need filling frequently if you use steamer but irons a lot of items perfectly well on non steam. Manufacturer recommends putting base on board itself which is not practical but there is enough cord to have it nearby

So far so cook, lovely and quiet.

I was surprised how light the iron was, but once the steam flow was adjusted, it was very good. On the negative side, if you have small hand you are liable to keep hitting the "permanent" steam rather than the steam when you want. Takes a bit of getting used to. The other is the scale filter. The instruction say that this should be replaced every two/three weeks in hard water areas, i could not see this on the sales info. Haven't priced these yet, hopefully, not to expensive.

Initially I wasn't sure - I got this at a very good price to replace what I thought was a better product. However, after a few uses, I now find this one superior - it does take a bit of getting used and working out which settings work the best but I find it far more flexible and refined - when you only want a small amount of steam adjust the temperature and steam settings - yes, there are times you get drops of water but that doesn't bother me. As someone else said, replacing the filter could get costly so I've only given 4 stars - but I had the same issue with the previous steam iron that I had. I don't think 4-6 weeks will apply as a) i live in a soft water area and b) I don't do lots of ironing - will see how it goes and return to this review.
