The optimal temperature is not fast enough and you end up waiting for heating or burning items as it doesn't cool fast enough but worse than that is the fact the descaling doesn't work - made to use with regular tap water. Mine after 6 months spurts out brown junk over everything and despite descaling it all using products is erratic and just makes a huge mess. Very disappointing and big waste of money!

Amazon CustomerI thought this steam iron would do as it was sold to do. It doesn't it doesn't steam and get the creases out of the clothes. It has been a complete waste of money
pat of newsteadReplaced my tefal steam generator with this one and returned it after single use. Only advantage is iron is light weight. Disadvantages meant that I can’t use this long term and had to return. Water needed to put through a small opening in the generator and not removable like Tefal. The temperature never reaches high enough and crease removal is not good enough despite steam helping. The iron cannot be kept upright on the ironing board whilst ironing though we are told that it will not burn the fabric.
Vikram123I have been using this iron for several weeks now and feel that I have given it a fair chance to impress me. Sadly it hasn't done that, and the main reason is that it doesn't seem to get hot enough to get all the creases out - especially with cotton items. This is the second steam generator iron that I have had the previous one did a much better job, but sadly just wore out. I also don't like the 'optimal temp technology'. I'm a grown up and I am able to decided for myself if the iron is at the right temperature, and some things need to be ironed at a lot higher temperature than this gets to. before anyone asks, I even read the instructions to make sure I wasn't missing something vital, but no. Now sadly I am stuck with this and have to settle for a quite low standard of crease removal. Not good :(

Vanessa L EHad to return as it does not get the creases out of cotton bed linen which was the reason I bought it.
