Always a first choice!
David KeenanI am afraid I did not enjoy using this item as the other one I had was much better
f ossmanBrilliant easy to use
john grovesIt smells when I used it and takes a lot of water
Amazon CustomerThis iron constantly spits out brown water that has now stained several expensive white shirts, it cannot be cleaned and all I can see to do is to change the filter before it is required.
Mr. Lee HoneyIt occsaionally spits out dirty water in with the steam. This does no harm; the items have to be re-washed, and the soiling is easily removed, but it is obviously inconvenient. Apart from this, the iron functions really well, and is easy to use.
J. Bullgreat item
SkhanHas made my life alot easier. Takes the burden out of ironing.
Peter o.Excellent and quick to deliver
Amazon CustomerNice Item Super Fast Delivery
alan ridpathHas stained lots of my clothes - you get what you pay for.
MaxineDoesn't have a shut off , if you forget to switch off. Steam isn't very powerful. Takes ages for steam to build up if doing lots off ironing.
JpeepsI was a little disappointed with this product. This first time I used it brown liquid came out of the steam iron and soiled my
clothes. Unfortunately I had to send it back.

AmieGood product does what it says
Peter MarshNot as good as my original Tefal steam iron it's still good.
Margaret McGinleyIf this iron is at the top of your price point, then read no further. I’m comparing this Tefal to a Morphy Richards and a Philips, both twice the price, but it might help you to know the compromises you may be making by not spending more.My first steam generator iron was a pressurised Morphy Richards 42221, £100, (replaced by 330017 £130), and my third was a pressurised Philips (GC7805 £120). My second, this UN-pressurised Tefal SV5021, £60, was nowhere near as good, BUT it was about half the price. I bought it thinking I could get the same performance for half the price – you can’t and I returned it. At this price point the Tefal MAY be the best there is - but you get what you pay for.The Tefal;1) Is UNpressurised – the steam generation is more erratic and more likely to have water instead of steam coming out; pressurised steam is hotter than non-pressurised, and you get more of it and more consistently.2) Iron (the bit you hold to iron) is heavy; Tefal 1.4kg vs Philips 1.1kg.3) Has about half the number of holes in the sole-plate (note the picture of the sole-plate is misleading/incorrect)4) Seemed to iron creases in rather than out – I suspect this is because it relies more on the heat of the iron than the steam to take out creases.5) Had rubber feet on the base station that fell off almost immediately – poor at any price6) Instructions were in pictograms rather than words which was unhelpful & irritating, but granted didn’t affect the iron.On a more positive note, the Tefal;1) Has relatively easy de-scaling (certainly compared to the Morphy Richards)2) Has filters so you shouldn’t need to de-scale as often, but more expensive models have easier and more effective de-scaling removing the need for filters.3) Is half the price of pressurised models and may be good enough for what you want.As an aside, my Morphy Richards lasted only 4 years and was a pain to de-scale. I’m pleased with the Philips – it relies solely on the steam to take out the creases, adjusts the hot-plate temperature automatically and never get
Amazon Customervery good iron, but be careful as you don't need to use it as hot as instructed. If its to hot it will ketch your cloths.
peter martinThe first time you use it the steam jet is quite loud but you get use to it
Good FormLeaks loads of water pouring from base ! Mop required
