Disappointed
Reviewed on Argos.co.uk

I bought this as my first steam iron. The instructions are awful. You have to replace the anti filter cartridge - not advised when you buy the product. I have had it 5 months and I have no steam function because I can’t enter the self clean setting. And the cartridges are out of stock!!!!!!! Unbelievable [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Not worth it

My husband bought this to replace a previous steam generator I had . If I have it on the highest setting water leaks on the fabrics not steam , cannot place the iron upright on the ironing board a design fault . You have to use distilled and tap water combination and still the cartridge needs replacing regularly.I have now started using an old iron . I wouldn't recommend buying. Steam Iron
Reviewed on Argos.co.uk

Bought this in a rush to replace existing broken down steam iron but found it to be disappointing in that it was way smaller with a much lower output than previous. Rather than use it decided to take it back and replace with the bigger model albeit more expensive

Disappointing for the price. I wish I could return
Reviewed on Argos.co.uk

I read the features of this iron before I bought it and it does not mention that it requires cartridges. If I'd known this I would not have bought it. My previous iron, not this brand, at the same price as this one had a much stronger shot of steam and wasn't as noisy as this one. I'd love to return but don't know if possible as I've used it.

Looks good, but thats about it.

Iron for example a plain cotton shirt on highest temperature, before you have finished said item the iron crumbles the material, then a crease appears, no extra spray to remove it. Sticks to items. Always had Morphy Richards irons, NEVER AGAIN.

Just ok

This is my 3rd generator but not my favourite. The heat setting isn’t great to use . I find you have to press and hold the select a few times to get the right temperature. Also the steam trigger is very sensitive so it gushes steam out when on the mount and you have to press the trigger again to stop it . Also the iron itself is quite heavy compared to my last ones.

Wish I’d never brought it. When used on ironing board you cannot even stand the iron up, not that easy to use

Having previously had Morphy Richards steam generators, this model has been very disappointing, difficult to get the right temperature, even with the intelligent setting, would take it back if I could.

Not as good as it seems

Too expensive for the kind of steamer that it is... Takes too long to heat and if not warm enough leaks water. the ironing quality it's not great specially if clothes come from a dryer machine, took me almost 20 minutes to iron a duvet cover...

Only had the iron for 2 weeks and i am about to return it to Argos as the water level sensor in the water tank fell off of its fixing -meaning the kettle thinks there is no water in the tank.... very disappointed as bought this one on the reviews we’d read.

Ironing
Reviewed on Argos.co.uk

This is the 2nd steam generator iron I have bought in recent times, although it is more compact,it is a bit of a Pfaff to use with touch control etc, I don’t think it is as easy to use as a more basic model that I presume it replaces.Perhaps it is another case of leave well enough alone.

Generated hardly any steam whatsoever, about a quarter of what the Phillips iron did that it was intended to replace. Maybe mine was faulty?Returned for refund.

Dissapointed
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

Disappointed in this iron. The steam output is not great. Also the button for controlling the settings is on the top and can be accidentally changed. I don’t think much of intelli temp. This iron is not a patch on my Phillips I don’t think it is powerful enough. Unless it’s not working properly. Also don’t like the bleeps every time you want steam. Maybe I will get used to it but up to now I don’t like it.

Not a good buy.
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

I really didn't get on with this iron. Without the steam boost being activated the action of the soleplate being dragged over the clothes caused a static build-up which made the material pucker and led to creases being ironed in. Without the steam boost, the static effect was reduced, but still evident. I also didn't like the fact that you have to actively depress the trigger and keep it depressed to activate the steam. This iron was nowhere near as good as the Philip's steam generator iron I wad hoping to replace. Full marks to Amazon, however, for an immediate and no-quibble full refund.
