Very good machine i recommend to you... Good price, easy to use easy to wash
StanislavUnfortunately part was missing from box and 3 other stores checked their boxes and the same part was missing so item was returned.
Starvery poory designed. Juicing is okay but the base is too fidly too much. I had to return as it stopped working
alieeHowever it does not tick all the boxes easy to clean and use very fast but juice extraction is just below par
Shaqam sorry I wasted my money its now occupying space for nothing in my cupboard I wish I could get an exchange but I had to dispose of the box most unfortunate
gracelynI definitely Say Big No to everyone about this product. Sooner you use this product you'll know outcome or this after using just couple of time. This machine didnt work properly and make noise and even left all juice in fruit and almost 70% juice only pour and more then 30% or even more left in fruit itself. Consume lot of electricity.
SohailThe instructions are virtually non existent. The 'bits' which I really wanted as part of my juice get filtered through to the waste section. It is worthwhile paying extra for a better juicer. Wouldn't recommend Philips purely because of the lack of instructions. Very disappointed.
BHpaying a little more than my previous juicers I expected this juicer to produce good quality juice, instead it gives me gritty juice with generous sized pieces of unjuiced veg, would not buy this juicer again and would not recommend this item.
hilary douglasAs a juice lover, I used to have HR 1861, was a very good juicer and used this product around 3 years. ThenI had decided to replace it with this model. I purchased this from Amazon just before new year. It is leaking. It has a very small pulp container. If you also like juicing greens, this is not a good juicer since you end up having bits of leaf (spinach etc) in your juice. Worst part is the leakage and I'll try to figure out how to get a refund for this item. Very disappointed.
pvarlikThe juice extractor is the most inefficient we have tried to date, about 60% to 70% of the juice remains in the pulp, thereby the juice extractor is unfit for purpose.
Carlisle1st impressions were good. Stuck in fruit and veg, and got juice. The problems came when trying to disassemble it for cleaning. The pulp container became welded to the bottom motor section. There are 5 witness marks on both pieces where the pulp container has melted. 4 of these marks are pin head size around the edge but one is the size of a pea and has left a melted splodge in the well of the motor section. This was my 1st time using it and I made about a litre of juice. Was probably running for all of 45 seconds. My dilemma is, will this happen again and further damage the item or was just 'breaking in' issues. I'll hang on to it and see how it fares the rest of the week, but I will be returning it if there's anymore degradation of the pulp container.
HypnotoadGet a raw juice health boost. The Philips Viva juicer extracts all of the nutritious juice from your fruit and vegetables and can make up to 2 litres of juice in one go. The XL feeding tube means that preparation time is significantly reduced prior to juicing. All you need to do is feed your fruit and vegetables directly into the tube and the juicer will do the rest. You can experiment with a variety of different ingredients varying from apples and oranges to parsnips and pears.
Once you have made your jug of raw juice, cleaning your juicer could not be easier. Thanks to the "QuickClean" technology, this juicer can be cleaned quickly. All surfaces are made with smooth and easy clean materials, including the electropolished sieve, which means that the machine can be cleaned very quickly. Additionally, the design of the integrated pulp container means that the juice is channelled through the juicer more efficiently. This results in more juice being extracted from your ingredients and also less mess is created as all the pulp is channelled directly into the see-through pulp container. The see-through pulp container makes the Philips Viva juicer really straightforward to use, as you can see when the container is full.
Even emptying the pulp container is hassle free as the juicer can be assembled and disassembled quickly and easily. As well as the benefits of QuickClean and obtaining extra juice, the integrated design also means that this juicer will take up less space on your kitchen worktop.
FeaturesThe extra-large 75 mm feeding tube allows you to juice even large fruits and vegetables like apples, carrots and beetroots without pre-cutting. This makes juicing quick, easy and a lot less messy.
A lot of pulp fibres usually get trapped in the sieve which makes it very difficult to clean. Thanks to the QuickClean electro-polishing process, the surface of the sieve is smooth so you can simply wipe away the fibres with a sponge or brush.
The QuickClean materials used to make this Philips juicer have been selected with ease of use and cleaning in mind. All the surfaces are made from smooth and easy to clean materials so you can simply rinse and wipe away any mess in just 1 minute.
Juicing can be messy, but with this simple design feature, all the pulp is collected in the only place where it should be: the pulp container.
Thanks to the juice extraction system with QuickClean technology, this juicer extracts up to 2 litres of juice in one go without the need to empty the pulp container.
All components of the juicer have been designed for simple and intuitive assembling and handling. This makes the whole cleaning and reassembly process quick and easy. The round design and smooth surfaces of the pulp collector make it easy to reach and remove.
The strong 700 W motor ensures that maximum amount of juice is extracted, with the minimum amount of fuss.
All removable parts can be cleaned in the dishwasher.
- Switch on the Juicer and let it run for a few seconds before putting the ingredients into the feeding tube.
- Ensure to wash the vegetables or fruits, remove peels which you would not eat and cut them into pieces that fit into the feeding tube if necessary.
- Put the pieces of fruit or vegetables in the feeding tube and gently press them down towards the rotating filter with the pusher - Do not exert too much pressure on the pusher, as this could affect the level of juice output.
- Be sure to remove all stones from fruits before juicing, but cores from apples and melons don't need to be removed.
- Fruits that contain lots of starch are not suitable for processing in the juicer and the following items should not be juiced: sugar cane, bananas, mangoes, avocados, papaya, figs.
- Keep an eye on the filling grade of the pulp container in order to avoid overstress of motor due to pulp overload and empty the pulp container regularly to ensure it does not overfill.
- To optimise the result of juicing ensure to use fresh fruits, to feed the feeding tube slowly piece by piece, not to exert too much pressure on the pusher and to clean the filter in between uses to avoid blocking and covering of the sieve with fibres. If you Juice very regularly and more than once a day, it is recommend that you let the motor cool down for a minute before switching it off.
Please note that although the Philips juicers are very robust and built to last, it is advised that you allow the motor to cool down between juicing sessions as this prolongs the life of the motor. If the unit gets overheated it will switch itself off for 15 minutes, it is advisable not to operate the juicer for more than 45 seconds at a time in order to help prevent smoking and burning. The manual does state that this juicer should juice only for 45 seconds at a time.
