I've had this iron only 18 months and its now stopped working. Prior to that it leaked water all over my hands and cable when I ironed. Water seems to come out of the joins not the water refill. My last iron was a Tefal too and that lasted 4 years. I only iron once a week for an hour so its not due to overuse.
VeronicaIf you are looking for a Made in France iron, this is not for you
Erfan LoweimiGreat iron but stopped heating up after a few months and this is my second one of this model so there seems to be a common fault with the iron. Have sent off for repair and seating to hear back which will take up to 12 days. The support process isn’t reliable either, I had to call the support number for a number of day before I got response.
Amazon CustomerGreat iron, easy to use BUT the water compartment cover/lid is a monumental pain in the proverbial. Iron & the damn thing keeps popping open. Regal either change the catch mechanism or slacken the spring
Lee B.Anti-drip? Not in the slightest. This is a good iron by all other counts but, for all of it's good points, the amount of brown water it spits all over my shirts makes it absolutely hellish to use. The spring-loaded lid for the water filling hole is also daft as it kept popping open (until I removed the spring). Finally, it's near impossible to see how much water is left inside due to very dark plastic.Never had a cause to notice whether the anti-calc was effective as we always use filtered water.
HopperFill lid keeps popping up and won't stay down, now has to have gaffer tape release mechanism!
Mr. Steve Rhodesit irons well but is difficult to see the water levels and the filler cap has a habit of springing open of its own accord, which if you have just filled the tank, throws sploges of water over the garment you're ironing to wear. I have owned better Tefals in the past but its ok
Lynn WebbThe iron work fine, I'd prefer more heat on the higher settings. The only problem is the water cap does stay down/lock very well and I keep getting water everywhere.
Ben Jamesthis iron sticks on the clothes and doesn't glide well. the water dribbles out and when you press the steam button it releases dirty particles
tatiLess than a year and does not work
Student welfare lawStopped working within 3 months and Staffords the "service centre" do not answer the phones.
CATHERINE MARTINIt is a good iron but you can never tell how much water you have put in as the water container is black. I have learned how much to put in by using a very old measurer I got from an iron some years ago. Suggest a measurer is included then even though it is difficult to see how much water is in it, you have a small chance of knowing. It is a heavy iron but it is better than being to lightweight.

ib3249The iron has been working on and off for the last few months and now it doesnt at all.
P B CWill only last for one year bad product. Sent an email to company to repossess. Avoid. I’m buy a Phillips at this time.
Altaf ABDISATIRWater filler tab can pop open when ironing.
RonSometimes it excretes calc and uses up a lot of water on the steam setting
Gary PaltonA bit fed up with having to constantly refill the water when I used to a steam generator before. I live in a very chalky water area and will replace rather than do the complicated descaling process.
Little DiBroke after a few months - still waiting for either repair or replacements after over 2 weeks
AmandaAuto stop light wont go off so iron wont heat up..only purchased this in late october,no options in details to contact seller for replacement..this is very poor
