This machine produces a lovely cup of coffee, one of which I am savouring right now.My wife likes her coffee a little hotter than this produces, but on its hottest setting it is fine for me.The machine does require a bit of cleaning of several components weekly and monthly, but then everything we normally use (except the kettle) requires some amount of cleaning, so I am not sure I can hold that against the machine. The only real downsides are:- some cleaning required- not hot enough for some- water carafe a tad small- used coffee dregs container a wee bit small (only seems to hold 4-5 cups' worth)- largish footprint on the kitchen bench- there could be a bit more guidance on suitable coffee type, or a list of suitable coffees. All I know is such machines do not like an oily bean. I am not sure which are oily.But.....It produces a lovely, consistent cup of coffee, one that rivals a good barista (although not a super great one).Would I buy another one? Well, having two would be a bit excessive. If this one broke down within two years I would not ( as that would suggest reliability problems), but if faced with the same buying choices again I would leap in and buy one. It does produce great coffee.Would I recommend it to others? Hell, yes!
