This machine is bad. It takes a long time to heat, makes extremely loud noises and randomly decides to just not work, usually when you’re running late and just wanted a drink.Troubleshooting is a nightmare and the instructions are useless. I have wasted so much coffee on unsuccessful attempts to make espresso with this piece of junk, I’d have saved money just going to a cafe. Do not buy this machine.
ArtVandelayWell it must be me. Some reviewers adored this machine, personally i think its an expensive gadget that is not fit for purpose. 1stly, it takes far too long to make the coffee ( Ground coffee used ) then again an age to heat and froth the milk ( except it won't froth the milk, just warm it ) that by the time the milk is ready the coffee is nearly cold. OK. So now we want a second cup... Easy, just wait 10 minutes for the machine to cool down. WHAT ??? yes 10 minutes. Now we can have a second cup of luke warm flat coffee. Is it broken? don't think so. Are we following the instructions ? yes.Maybe that's the problem. I suggest an old fashion cafetiere, easy to use, easy to clean, and hot drink to boot..There thats my rant.
bazArrived non functional!
Rod StroudNow on my third replacement machine had to return 2 with the same fault so keeping my fingers crossed that third time lucky
Alan BowdenVery disappointed with this product. It stopped working within a week and had to be returned. DeLonghi customer service has been shocking. A week to reply to initial email, ten days before it was collected and then another month before it was returned to us. Can not recommend this
Niamh ClancyVery noisy machine and needs lots of water refills and emptying of the spent coffee. Uses a lot of beans quickly but I do like my coffee strong! I’m glad I bought it in the sale. Not worth the RRP in my opinion.
DeborahThree weeks after repair the same problem with coffee machine exactly the same
Miroslaw BujakMakes good coffee and easy to clean, but does not froth plant based milk. Tried with several barista style plant milks and the froth is very small.
Amazon CustomerThanks
LuqmanBe careful to read the instructions before attempting to make a coffee for the first time, the instructions are not as intuitive as they might be. Once I had figured out all the flashing buttons and why it would not work I then realised that you have to switch the machine off in a certain order to reset it. Be prepared to lewarn how the whole machine works as you will have to clean the diffuser every so often, similarly make sure you are on the grind or filter setting which is also unclear. Despite all this it makes a great coffee but it is noisy (even in non-grind mode). The water pump on mine stopped working after 2 weeks so Ireplaced it. Unless you like messing around with technical stuff I would steer clear and go for something simpler and cheaper
David ClawleyIt doesn't work on ground coffee. Only water comes out and the ground coffee goes everywhere inside the machine.Don't buy!
laura delcreI bought this bean to cup machine to use in my new flat during Christmas period. It was delivered on time. However, I am still unable to use it. It is stuck in the flashing light mode! The guide provided is not adequate for problem solving.I am also not sure whether this is faulty machine or lack of guidance included. Will love to know how this could be resolved.
Amazon CustomerI found it not working.
Stewart C.I like it. Easy to use and clean with good warning light system telling you when the water needs refill and the grounds tray is full. The milk steamer frothed works well.
Amazon CustomerMake a lot of noise. Like - ALOTCoffee is good though
PaulAs a first introduction to bean to cup “espresso style” coffee, this machine is good. As others point out, it makes pretty good coffee. But after nearly 12 months with this machine and daily usage, here are my thoughts:- flavour is still not as good as a pure espresso machine. I assume this is due to a lack of pressure that only expensive machines can put out.I can’t quite put my finger on it but no matter what beans you use, the coffee seems to lack that “wow” factor, that I can only describe as not a full extraction that is characteristic of a espresso machine.- coffee grounds seem to end up being spilt quite a bit inside and is a pain to clean up. It tends to block the door closing so the door barely closes most of the time.I think I’m turning into a coffee hipster as now feel myself wanting to upgrade to something like a Gaggia Classic and a grinder for that pure espresso feeling.

Mr EI bought this machine based on Amazon user recommendations. Sadly mine spent more time telling me what was wrong with it than making coffee. I managed to get 4 cups out of it before it had to be returned. Buy a better made model
Mr. A. HillSadly I have just received my second machine which again shows the same fault: the sensor does not show when the bean container is empty. This means that if you run out of beans the grinder whizzes around. I cannot imagine this is any good for the machine, also it wastes a coffee as it only has half the beans you originally wanted. It does not seem to be a common fault, yet odd I have now had a second machine with the same fault. Otherwise it does make nice coffee as well as hot milk.
