It is a beautiful kettle. But it has a two pin plug that can't be used in the UK without a 13amp adaptor. I bought a 13 amp adaptor but the instructions with it said that it should not be used with a device that is connected to a two pin unearthed plug. So sadly I have returned the kettle. If I can find one that is fitted for UK use I will buy it . Postscript from WHICH information -It’s actually illegal for UK retailers to sell most domestic electrical products (not for example shavers, electric toothbrushes or items with rcd plugs) with two-pin plugs under the Plugs and Sockets Safety Regulations 1994. Most domestic appliances must be fitted with an approved three-pin British plug or an approved conversion plug. I'm not an electrician but I suspect it would be unsafe to stick a three pin plug on the end of the two wired cable supplied for this kettle base, which some UK buyers might do
Colin GLovely looking kettle, very simple and stylish. However it was supplied with a 3 round pin plug and needed an adapter to work in the Uk which was rather disappointing as I had been informed it would be supplied with UK 3 pronged plug. I therefore reluctantly returned it
