Both coffee makers we sampled were made for the European Market with Continental bonded plugs and no use to the UK Market.
KevinOwned a senseo coffee machine for some years and always pleased with coffee. However have recently struggled to buy the coffee pods - know they are available on line but easier to buy with weekly shop. My machine recently stopped working and wouldn't heat the water. Went on line to buy replacement and the machine delivered was continental - complete with 2 pin plug. Instructions were in many languages - apart from english. Obviously not now made in uk. Disappointed but can cope with it.
oapI bought this Senseo coffee maker to replace one I'd had for five years and had finally stopped working correctly. The new machine duly arrived one day ahead of the scheduled delivery date. I was intrigued to note that all the information printed on the box was in French, and when I opened the box I discovered why. The machine was obviously a continental model fitted with a two-pin continental plug, and all the documentation was in French, including the offer voucher for 1 euro off your first coffee pod purchase! I contemplated returning the machine, but then reasoned that a UK model was probably not available. I therefore cut off the two-pin plug and fitted a UK three-pin one instead. On using the machine, I noticed that the spout on this model was slightly longer than the previous one, and that my favourite mug no longer fits under the spout. Fortunately I had not yet sent my old machine for recycling, so I kept the old spout and substituted that instead. Apart from these minor issues the machine still makes a good cup of coffee.
