This is the worst lens I have ever used. At no point does it get sharp on my cameras. The left side is totally off and the right is nowhere near acceptable. It reaches 3/10 sharpness levels across most of the frame, but the left side weakness is only 1/10 for sharpness for about a quarter of the frame. Shooting portrait with the left side on the floor helped, but the lack of overall sharpness makes this lens useless.
On the plus side the blue vignetting seen in other reviews isn't as bad as expected, so initially I had hoped I wouldn't just use the lens for black and white. However, the sharpness issue and poor left side only makes this lens fit for the trash. I was away when ordered it and missed the return date, otherwise I would have returned this poor copy.
Do not buy this lens. Even if you get one without the left side defect it is horrific in terms of detail and every element in every photo looks out of focus.
