david lloydUseless. The accuracy is pathetic. Contacting Davis only brought stupid checks I should make. Save your money.
ThompsonThe station was easy to set up and operated well for about a month. I then received a message that the console batteries were low. I changed the battery and within a few days the same message reappeared. And so it has gone on. Basically what is happening is that the station operates during the day when its solar features provide enough energy but the minute the sun goes down all the outdoor functions switch off because the solar power is not reaching other parts of the station. To my horror on reading about the experiences of others (on the Internet) I realise this is not a fault restricted to my station but one which has occurred quite widely and has to be a basic design fault. I have an old weather station (Oregon Scientific) which although not fully working now (which is why I purchased the Davis) still has its solar power system in order with no need for me to ever change the batteries. On the basis of my experience I would urge any would be purchasers to proceed with extreme caution.
Peter from MoleseyIn common with many buyers of this weather station (according to the various threads on forums) I have had persistent problems in particular with low battery transmitter warnings and subsequent loss of data. The forums suggest various fixes, some of which are so expensive you'd be better buying a new unit, but the bottom line is that the problems return. Sadly, it is also evident from the forums that support from Davis is very poor which is very disappointing. I'd like to have a reliable WS and Davis were recommended but I'd advise potential customers to steer clear.
Leo MannVery happy with Davis Vantage Pro 2, easy to set up and so far is working very well
Amazon CustomerI bought this weather station for my partner for xmas, and paid more as other stations didn't last beyond a year. We have had to change the batteries twice in six weeks, at four pound a time it's going to be costly. I contacted Amazon about this but they haven't bothered to reply. Has any one else had these problems ?
C. BelshawShould have bought the dongle with it to upload software to computer. Have had to buy it separately so my husband can use it for his computer.
J. WhiteI have installed the product as the instructions and am very pleased with the results so far
Bigalgreat bit of gear
Mr. P.SHARKEYDecided on this product after the last few "home" weather stations gave up the ghost after a year. This one definitely is more substantial and professional. Much pricier than the usual home station but it is clearly a much better quality. Would recommend and it also comes with a 4 year guarantee.
Mrs C L ABREHARTDavis make a good weather station.I would have liked the next model up but could not justify the price.
This has several shortcomings- It really should have a radio controlled clock AND the ability to connect to a computer without having to fork out loads more money.Furthermore the program is pretty useless in iOS & Davis recommend using a windows based computer.
Sounds like a bad joke to me.

GuySo far great
Mrs V A BurdenHad it for a nearly couple of months now. Best thing ever if u into ur weather. Just the style is outdated but very acurate & clever piece of equipment. Just one problem with the spoon spinning but didnt see the wind speed so I had a fiddle with it & it seems to be working fine..
Amresh KumarI purchased this to replace my Oregon Scientific WMR200 which has done sterling service for over 5 years sending data to weather underground and other weather services but the wind sensor finally failed. I was impressed with the quality and ease of setting up this Davis Vantage Vue and it had no problem connecting with the sensors which I had place further from the base than my previous set up.
Within an hour of receiving the station I had it set up and running perfectly, now all I had to do was connect it to my data logging device to upload the data to my weather services. BIG, BIG PROBLEM! No connection on the console to connect to my computer!!!
I checked all the product descriptions which highlighted how good it is to send your data to the weather networks but nowhere did it state that to do this you have to buy their proprietary data logger attachment to be able to connect to your computer, which is not cheap at another £150 +.
To say that I was disappointed is an understatement, having to purchase something that I don't really need just to connect to my uploading equipment is really annoying. This is an excellent product, spoiled by the lack of information in the description and much more expensive than the purchase price would have you believe.

Robbought this just to moniter extreme weather, very interesting, like the fact that it stores25 years of history
HE AND K BRASSFantastic weather station. Works flawlessly for more than 2 years. The console never lost contact from the station. All components are made of top quality materials.
Nicholas DaskalakisGreat item, if on the expensive side. Sends the information from the bottom of my garden, a good distance away. Couldn't ask for more information.
