My only complaint with this is that it can be difficult to remove the upper part (the part that gets re-filled) as it tends to expand - whether in the heat of my room or from the heat of the device itself. If it were a little easier to pull apart then I'd have given it five stars. That being said, we'll still get one for our son's room.

Thomas J. QuinlanThis item arrived the day after I ordered it, which was just amazing! Well done Medisana. I run it all night and it doesn't disturb me at all. The only gripe I have is that the night light is a bit bright and it won't always turn off! But that is not much of a problem for me. I am very glad I bought it.

Mr. David LlewelynVery disappointed with this product as it comes with a 2 pin continental plug, which means you either have to wait even longer before using it in order to obtain a conversion plug or you have to replace the plug, thus negating the guarantee. I have checked the product specifications and nowhere is this mentioned. This product is manufactured in Germany but presumably Medisana know to which country they are being sold. The item is not cheap - is it too much to ask that it comes ready for use in the country from which it is ordered? If they are not prepared to do this, they should not export their goods.

Very dry air increases your susceptibility to infection and respiratory diseases and can also lead to fatigue and lack of concentration. Healthy air should have a relative atmospheric humidity of between 40 and 55%. The quiet, energy-saving ultrasound technology of the Medisana (UHW) air humidifier uses oscillation to convert the water into a fine mist that increases the moisture level of the air in the room in which it is used. This improves the air quality and prevents the mucous membranes of the nose and eyes and the skin from drying out.
The capacity of the device is suitable for a room with a maximum area of 30 square metres. You can adjust the level of humidity to the size of the room using the knob for the mist intensity.
It is particularly effective in bedrooms (especially when central heating is on) to aid a good nights sleep without waking up with a dry nose and throat. Many people have also found some effectiveness is the reduction of snoring whilst using the device overnight.
The lights on the device can be changed to suit the mood and can be very useful as a night light for small children who are afraid of the dark.
