The one star review must have had a faulty/damaged one. We have found this reliable. quiet and nicely designed, but have to turn it off in our bedroom and night because of theh blue light.teh blue light .
Gillian G.I purchased one of these humidifiers last week as my wife has a respiratory problem and our old one started leaking. It arrived this week on Wednesday and I immediately set it up as per instructions. The humidity in the room was 36%. I found it noisy and after 2 days of operation the humidity had gone up to only 38%. Upon refilling it I noticed a bit of plastic in the trough and upon closer examination found that the fan casing was cracked. Our old humidifier kept the room at a constant 57-8% which is ideal. I am very disappointed with the Carina and intend returning it and asking for a refund. Don't waste your money on this item.
